Their shape is modern and interesting - they are more triangle-shaped with little "ridges" around them.The downside is some of them can be sort of "scratched up" when pulling them from being nested in others - but it's only a few (not sure why it happens to some but not others).The base is fairly sturdy - sometimes these things can crack and then you have a sticky mess everywhere, but I didn't have an issue with that with these. The bases also stay on once they are placed.We typically use these once (don't refill), so I'm not sure if they would hold up all night if people are walking around with them for a while and refilling.If you need a large number of flutes, it's a good option to consider.
