xTool S1 40W Engraving Machine with Honeycomb Working Sheet & Air Assit, Auto Focus, Enclosed Cutter and Engraver Machine for Metal, Leather, Acrylic and Glass, Class I Safety

This is a really good machine, well built and well packaged. I already have the 20w version and have had no issues at all with it. It works well with either Xtools own XCS software or Lightburn and gives really good results. I would recommend joining the S1 and xtool Facebook community pages as they are a gold mine of info and tips plus you get some great ideas and examples of what you can achieve. The customer support is also excellent - Amazon actually delivered a 10w machine instead of the 40w I ordered and they offered to replace the machine themselves and also offered a compensation package to make up for the delay and inconvenience despite it not being their fault. They also contacted Amazon themselves for an explanation of how the delivery went wrong. If you need them use the Facebook support page, I have never had any issues they couldn’t solve. Definitely happy with my purchase despite Amazon messing up the delivery, it’s not exactly cheap but no laser of this power is and worth the money if you take time to learn how to use the software to get the best from it.

I bought the S1 as an addition to my woodworking shop. I chose the 40w version as most of my work will involve cutting but it’s quite capable of engraving too. The S1 makes easy and quick work of most tasks, cutting cleanly up to 18mm thick material without problem. Being fully enclosed also means it’s much safer to use than many open frame lasers. The built in extractor provides adequate smoke extraction. The air assist is essential in my view as this helps produce clean cuts. An added bonus is the flame detection system. Personally, I connect to the machine via USB. I’d like to see the addition of a RJ45 socket so it can be networked via cable although the machine does come with WiFi. Thoroughly recommended. Best thing I've bought in a long time. Comes with it own app and everything you need including some sample materials to start engraving cutting and much more. There not cheap but worth every penny. Would recommend highly.

Yet another large value item went missing. After a lot of courier excuses, Amazon refunded the value. UPDATE: I originally gave the item 1x star relating to the couriers mess- up in not delivering the item. The x-tool S1 itself, never arrived. A) I'd like to make it clear that Amazon refunded all the monies to me , which is 5* service . B) I subsequently purchased the x-tool S1 direct through x-tool themselves. They were exemplary ; both the product and the after sales service. 5*. C) I originally posted a review of 1 star due to the abysmal service from the courier. This has been amended to 5* as the item itself is an amazing tool .

Garbage software that makes you sit through stupid "training" videos. I know how to use my laser, GO AWAY

Overall i do like this machine, its easy to set up, the software is easy enough to manage and for its size the speed is actually faster than i thought it would be. My one bug bear is that the magnet which measures the depth of the material is almost loose, i have to push it back into place for the thing to work well which can be frustrating

Bought this as an upgrade to a previous xtool, I would have bought direct but delivery was not until end of April, so managed to grab this at similar price and next day delivery. Great addition to my other xtool machines.

Had a few issues with delivery, but Sean from customer support went absolutely above and beyond . The laser is pretty awesome too.
