They have ranged from just ok, to ick! I can honestly say this Curry Vindaloo Masala is great!First note - it is actually hot! I was happily surprised when I tasted it right out of the jar, and thought to myself 'okay, I may have to tone this heat down a little.'A suggestion for any one who finds the heat a little too much, when adding the water (as described in the directions), use half water and half heavy whipping cream (although, you could probably use half and half, instead, but it would not be as creamy). It is amazing.We used two bottles, one recommended measure of water and for the other measure of water, we used heavy whipping cream. We added cauliflower (a head and a half), one red bell pepper, one orange bell pepper, two hand-fulls of green beans (all cut to the size we liked), and 8 chicken legs with the skin on. The chicken being cooked in the sauce with the bone in and the skin on, does add flavor (and, of course, can be removed prior to making your plate.) We didn't have basmati rice, but used our full-grain rice from Costco.It was a great, filling meal, with enough left over to freeze for later use.My husband thought that next time, we should use 3 of the bottles of the sauce and use two recommended parts water and one replace the third part of water with heavy whipping cream, in order to retain a bit more heat. (it would really be determined by how hot one can reasonably take their food.)Ya, you can pay a bit less for another brand, but it really isn't worth it. This brand (Curries By Nature) really does taste like Indian curry! But the fact is, the paste is quite watery even though it says "concentrated", which is not! I would suggest to only mix it with a little bit of water if you want!
