Excellent!
I have been using Miracle-Gro Plant Food Spikes for the past two years, and my fruit trees are thriving and doing excellent. The difference in growth and overall health has been very noticeable. The leaves are greener, the trees look stronger, and the fruit production has improved. What I really like is how easy these spikes are to use. You simply dig a small hole around the tree and place the spike in the groundโno mixing, no measuring, and no mess. It saves time and ensures the nutrients go directly to the roots where they are needed most. This product makes feeding fruit and citrus trees simple and effective. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to keep their trees healthy and productive.

Convenient and Effective Feeding for My Citrus Trees
Iโve been using the Miracle-Gro Fruit & Citrus Plant Food Spikes for several seasons now, and they continue to be one of the easiest and most effective ways to fertilize my citrus trees. I have a few dwarf citrus varietiesโlemon, lime, and a young satsumaโand these spikes have made a noticeable difference in growth, foliage health, and fruit production. What I really love about this product is the convenience. Instead of mixing liquid fertilizers or trying to spread granular feed evenly, you just push these spikes into the soil near the root zone (according to the package instructions), and you're done. The nutrients are slowly released over time, so the trees get consistent feeding without risk of over-fertilizing. I apply them about once in early spring and again mid-summer, and that seems to be enough for my potted and in-ground trees. Within a few weeks of using the spikes, I typically see deeper green leaves and more vigorous new growth. One of my potted Meyer lemons that had been looking pale really perked up after I added the spikesโleaves darkened and the tree produced a healthy flush of blooms. I also appreciate that Miracle-Gro tailored this formula specifically for fruit and citrus, as not all plant food is created equal. This gives me some peace of mind that I'm giving my trees what they need without guessing. Highly recommend for both new and experienced gardeners who want a low-maintenance, effective way to support healthy citrus and fruiting plants!

Somewhat Clunky But Does the Job
Iโm giving these four stars for the awkwardness factor. I just hammered some of these spikes into the ground around my lemon tree. The soil was quite wet from recent heavy rains. Even so, I found I needed to use a hand tool to dig a hole into which I could place the spike and then hammer it down below the ground a couple inches as instructed. You need to place one of the two provided plastic caps over the fertilizer spike to keep the solid fertilizer from breaking down as you hammer it into the ground. My first cap lasted for three spikes before breaking. I donโt expect the remaining plastic cap to last much longer, meaning that Iโll need to really dig next time as the spikes disintegrate if you hammer them without a cap. So that will be work. Another noteworthy item is the packaging, which I found hard to open without ripping the instructions printed on the outer bag. The small cardboard box over which the plastic cover was used is also awkward to open. Miracle Grow advises finding a sealable plastic bag to store unused spikes in, and keeping the outer bag with instructions in that sealable bag. All this to say it will make for some bulky, somewhat awkward storage. I canโt comment on the effectiveness of the fertilizer but Iโve never been disappointed with Miracle Grow before. If I get less than stellar results Iโll come back and update. But Iโm expecting them to work well.

They work.
Last year I put in a blackberry patch with different varieties of plants. Ever Since the pandemic I enjoy growing food for us, maybe from some sense of not wanting to experience again that feeling that comes from shortages and consumer stockpiling. I didnโt have too many expectations, but did my homework. The plants survived the winter. In early spring this year I tapped these spikes all around the plants, a little distance from the roots, and scattered some slow release 10-10-10. It is now the middle of May. We have already enjoyed more huge juicy blackberries than we can eat. I have shared with neighbors and am freezing the rest in quart bags to use in our smoothies. We are like little kids going to the ptch everyday to see who finds the biggest blackberry. The plants have shot out big thick primocanes for next year. I would have to say these spikes are amazing. See pics.

Keeps the trees healthy
To be honest we normally buy Jobbs but they were out of stock so this is our second go to. My hubby uses one to two spikes per fruit tree and we feel these help in keeping the trees healthy and lush and help when bearing fruit and growth We use them for plum ,apple ,pawpaw , elderberry, grapes and other trees .
