Q: How many pages can it hold total?

Being confined to the length of the post system, I would think no more that 15, depending on whether your pages are all fairly flat. I have been unable to find post extenders that fit. Hope this helps.

Q: Since this is top loading does it peel down so you can insert your item?

It’s been quite some time since I’ve had this item and I gave it as part of a scrapbook kit. I’m not sure what is meant to “peel down” but the main pages have the standard opening to insert scrapbooking pages. The front photo for the cover is accessed on the back. I can’t remember precisely but you can either slide the photo in or it opens like the back of a photo frame (with small clips that turn lock the backing into place again).

Q: Where can I buy the extension screws?

Search on Amazon "steel extension posts photo albums". From the reviews it looks like you should avoid the aluminum ones. I saw copper alloy ones that are pitched as strong. First try to evaluate the thickness you need before ordering a set (the posts come in various sizes).
