Holds like steel!!!
Wow!!! This stuff is fantastic. Grips like no other. Goes on easily and cleans up just as easily. It hardens quickly yet has a long enough window that you can work with it after applying. It's not cheap, but if you're doing auto body work, YOU NEED THIS.

High grip and reliable. Highly recommend
This stuff is superb! High grip adhesive. Holds where it is placed so make sure to put it EXACTLY where you need it since you’re not going to get it off again! Adheres to literally everything I’ve tried it on.

3M is the go-to adhesive for panel bonding in automotive work
Have used this material on multiple custom car projects and it works extremely well. You can also use it to fill small holes and make surface repairs as it can be sanded when cured. MFG recommends a high grade primer before top coating. This 08115 is the faster setting compound (90 minutes work time) and has worked in our shop when its colder outside, just like an accelerator (low temp accelerator) in auto painting. It has successfully cured clear down to 40 degrees, then the part was put out in the sun for final cure. Can be re-used at the partial tube amount if you are careful putting the cap back in and not mixing the compounds from cap contamination. MFG says the shelf life is up to a year, make sure to check the product you receive as there is a date stamp on the tube showing when it was manufactured and in some cases when it expires in case you get a batch of old new stock. Strongly consider using this in place of welding where appropriate. Best to use bare metal to metal, scuffed up or with grind / sand marks to give it best chance of adhesion. The gun applicator is expensive as is the material, however the expense quickly fades when you realize how useful it can be.

Awesome stuff
I used 3M 08115 for the first time on my 1954 Chevy Pickup that needed some small patches on its holey roof and firewall. I chose this product after many hours of research and debating vs welding, braising, fiberglass, and other products. the le reason why I chose this is because welding large surfaces such as a roof can warp the roof if not done properly and even then there is no guarantee. Another reason is that welding melts both metals down and can potentially inbed impurities and rust into the weld only to pop up later. With this epoxy you eliminate the potentially for any of this to occur. This is probably some of the reasons why most car manufacturers are using this product to secure their panels on their cars in lieu of welding. Also, because it seam seals all in one step. From all the forums posts and reviews that I read I was unable to find anyone that had actually used this product that wasn't completely satisfied with it's performance. I borrowed a really nice gun (it requires a double tube epoxy gun btw) from a friend and went to town. It applies like hot peanut butter, gives you plenty of working time, smooths out flat, and it cures hard as steel. I love it. I have since used it on other projects and it has performed great. Some tips: It says on the product material that you can reuse it by leaving the tip on there, let it dry and leaving it on till you need it again at which time you just unscrew it and put a new one on. I read this after I have cleaned the outlet very well and put the top back on. This can be a little tedious. Using the used tip seems a lot easier to do. Another tip is that I was working with small 2"x 2" patches for my non structural hole repair. I found that using small yet strong magnets to keep the patches in place as they dried worked awesomely. For the intended application, it is the best there is. Try it and you'll agree. Update....... I have used this product a lot since this posting and continue to be in awe of its strength and ease of use. I can see most welding falling into antiquity when everyone finally brakes from what they are used to and tries this stuff. BTW for shorter claiming times, apply heat from a heat gun. It sets up in about three minutes. Another benefit to this product is that you can bond unlike metals such as steel and aluminum and since there is a layer of epoxy in between them you don't have to worry about them reacting with each other causing galvanic corrosion. sorry for the long-winded review but I hope you find this helpful.

The Real Deal
Wow. This is serious stuff, and really works. Don't treat it like a toy. Do all your prep work properly. Use the right kind of gun, made for the purpose. And be ready when the stuff comes out; it can be messy. When they say "bonding" they're not kidding. Have yet to see how the bond holds up over time, but so far I'm impressed. AND it got the job done that I needed done.

windshield repair useage
So I decided to buy this for my windshield welds I welded the pin holds and shaved it down to bare metal. After I did I proceeded to brush this all around my windshield let it sit for a whole day came back and my gosh is it sturdy. I’m yet to put the windshield I’m sure the guys will add primer and then the “glue” and windshield. After doing some reasearch and talking to some body shop guys this is totally safe to do and improvement over paint as paint can chip. Again it’s a whole process that goes into this I read forums and chemical reaction threads and called four shops and visited 3 to make sure! It seems it’s solid and will do the job I like this as water won’t effect this and rust is in the past unless of course like paint I chip it and don’t treat it. Overall gets stiff pretty good coverage is good easy to use with the proper gun of course.

Product was used to bond fiberglass hood bulges to my original metal hood, also used to bond a carbonfiber trunk lip to my original metal trunk lid. I scuffed you the paint a bit to give it something extra to bite into. There was about a 45 minute work time with it before it started to “set”. I had it clamped over night, but 3m claims only 4 hours is required. I would believe them, I just took extra caution. Product works super well, will be using it again shortly. Highly recommended.
