It says you don't have to. I used it day and night as recommended. I will say it helped reduce texture on my skin especially the forehead area. It helped clear up my nose. It is really hydrating. I am definitely gonna make it part of my routine once we officially enter fall and winter. I don't think it's performing well with my skin on the hot days. I felt my skin very oil (or like there was something on it not absorbing well on the skin) however the cold days my skin felt really dry and it helped hydrate my skin. It also helped make it feel really clean. I applied with my fingers like recommended, but it did try with a cotton pad and I saw it removing grime, or texture from my skin. It helped clear up some texture from my forehead, and took care of a pimple that was developing. Got it fixed by the next day. At first it irritated my skin, not in a bad way but it did feel something by the third application it was very soothing, and cleansing. I don't really have a skin care routine, and am developing one but I read that there's different toners that tackle different things. I feel comfy adding this as a daily overall toner. Just because I feel like it was very hydrating and glowed up my skin when it was dry. Overall I recommend as a daily toner for dry skin during fall or winter.
