Chrome started yellowing after just 2 uses
I’m very disappointed. 1st I bought one from another Amazon store that came used and rusty. So I decided to purchase another one from the Smeg store just to be disappointed again. This time it came in perfect condition, shinny just like my chrome toaster. But after 2 uses the chrome started yellowing . As you can see in the pictures, the chrome no longer matches . I did not clean it or used any product on it. It appears that the heat causes it to change color. I’m very sad because I was dreaming about having this matching set. There’s lots of bad reviews on this product, but I decided to take a chance on it and it it’s really disappointing.

Damage to the coating layer
It has been less than one month of normal use, and this kind of coating damage has already appeared. I tried to clean it, but it cannot be removed. At first, I thought it was just water stains, but it seriously affects the appearance. We chose this kettle because of its design,this is very disappointing.

Absolutely gorgeous! I got this and the matching toaster and they look awesome on my 50's inspired kitchen counter. The kettle is solid, well constructed and works perfectly. I understand why they put the water gage where they did (it is on the kettle behind the handle). It's location makes it a little difficult to see but it is not a big issue and I wouldn't want it anywhere else on the kettle unless it was possible to have it on the handle itself. The surface is stainless steel and it is easy to keep clean. I've been using it every day for the past couple of months and loving it!
