Great Set for the price point
I threw down on this as a wedding gift for my twin brother & his now spouse... and then I went and purchased myself a set as well; I am a weekend warrior with a serious subscription to allrecipes.com and 4 or 5 cookbooks roaming around my apt to be pursued through depending on the week/reason. needless to say that these did not disappoint. they are SHARP, they are sturdy, and so far they are up for most of the challenges that I have thrown at them. From Acorn Squash, to Watermelon (I have been cutting with the Meat down to the board with the all purpose slicer and it is a beast going through the rind), I have portioned out baby back ribs and have skinned and sliced smaller fruits for smoothies and dinners... So far, I get the most use out of the all purpose slicer, the Chop and Scoop, and the perry knife. The whole idea behind the chop and scoop is brilliant! its a perfectly sized small cleaver that is so easy to use to scoop up the food after the fact and then throw in the desired recipe of choice. and the all purpose slicer goes through soft breads like a light saber. Really a Great Set at the price point! the Block Is great and they are sitting displayed proudly right beside my stove and my spice rack. A MUST HAVE for any weekend warrior/bachelor/newly married couple that is looking for a quality knife set without the Quality Knife Set Price.

Repeat Buyer - Excellent Value and Quality!
This is my second set of Miracle Blade knives; I purchased my first over ten years ago from an infomercial, and my daughter now has them in her apartment! These knives are reliable and have a cutting quality well above their price point!! I am a foodie and love to cook, and have a nice income such that I could have purchased any knives I wanted. So WHY did I buy another set of these? 1. In ten years of ownership, I never sharpened the prior knives, and never needed to. They cut as well on day 3649 as day 1. 2. Likewise, in ten years of use, not one knife from the set ever broke. They were reliable and well made. 3. Friends who cooked at my home always said they compared well to their knives costing hundreds more. 4. The knife block is heavy and attractive on the counter; doesn't look cheap or tacky. If you are considering these knives, you're probably not one to waste money. And you don't care about "keeping up with the Joneses" when you purchase things. I saw no reason to overpay for knives when the other choices in the price range were cheap and poor quality, and to get to the next quality tier I'd be paying upwards of $300 for a set this size with a block. No thank you! I love these knives and they really do the trick!!!

Well Worthwhile
These knives are great, considering the price. Other knives may be less rust prone, but will cost a lot more. The set I got was made in China, and China often uses inferior grade steel in their 'stainless steel' products, making them less 'stainless' than one would expect, so these knives may be apt to stain / rust a bit, as some say. I wash, and dry, the knives as soon as I use them-rather than letting them set, or soak, without cleaning. They have not stained, or rusted, on me so far. The knives are very sharp, and cut everything I put them to work on. The knives are stamped, not forged, which is part of why they cost less. I got the full 16 pice set...15 knives, and the block, and all arrived in good time, in fine shape. My wife is a professional cook, and she prefers my Miracle Blade III knives to her forged Pro J.A. Henckel knife set.

great starter knife set if you know how to take care of them...
People may criticize that it's made in china, etc...but what's really important is that it fits well in your hand, you feel comfortable using it, and it stays sharp. For me, these knives are just a great fit. I especially love the slicer and the rock 'n chop! Make sure you don't let these sit around after you've used them because they WILL rust. And despite the claims otherwise, if you know anything about how a knife is supposed to work, these do need to be sharpened. Thankfully, my dad is a professional sharpener, so I'm all set. But I highly recommend teaming up with a local sharpener and getting them sharpened at least every 6 months, depending on how often you use them and what you put them through. For example, if you have a glass cutting board, get rid of it or get your knives sharpened more regularly because this surface will dull a knife MUCH faster. And those knife sharpeners they sell in the stores are a joke...they don't do the same thing a pro will. Anyway, hopefully this helps!

Awesome knife set for the price
I absolutely love love love these knives. My first set I bought at the state fair of Texas. I used them for an entire year and decide to buy another set at the state fair For my mother. She loves loves loves these knives ... she loves them so much that anybody that goes to her house and if she’s preparing food she will let you know how much she loves these knives.. in total now I have purchased 5 sets for friends and family with all saying how much the love these knifes.. I do think for the cost you get a great quality set that always stays sharp ... I would say my only negative comment would be is that I do put them in the dishwasher and I have gotten rust on some of the stainless steel blades .
