Voices of Freedom: A Documentary History (Volume 1) Paperback – December 15, 2022

This is a primary source book that gives you access to a bunch of interesting documents such as the trial of Anne Hutchenson, an exerpt from Common Sense, etc. It provides deeper detail and is usually used as an addtion to Foner's other book, "Give Me Liberty!: An American History V1"I'm not at all interested in becoming a history major, but this book really adds some neat perspective on some of the documents that were created during this time. Very interesting.

Got This book for my daughter first year college. she is very happy, I am much happier because I saved money using amazon. Books at school are extremely expensive, and Amazon is always my first stop for books among other things

It offers differing viewpoints and the political agenda of the founding fathers, presidents, and controversial politicians of the 19th century.

If you want one book to cover the essence AND details of every significant event in the era covered, this is your book. You will want to keep this as the best possible reference. Finer is amazing

Needed for a class

I got this book for my History course and its a great book! It tells a lot of useful documents from the past.

This book is a great resource for primary documents. Foner has done it again! Love his textbooks and this compilation is amazing!
