I do a lot of filming for my business and rely heavily on lighting setups, including large ring lights. However, I found that even with good lighting, my 4K cameras weren’t performing at their best—I needed to raise them higher from the adjustable mounts to get better manoeuvrability and positioning within the light rings. That’s when I came across the UTEBIT Camera Screw 1/4 to 3/8 Adapter Thread Adapter Set (Camera Spigots) on Amazon. They looked like a simple but practical solution, and with Prime delivery, they arrived the very next day. Straight out of the packaging, I was impressed. The adapters felt solid, well-made, and sturdy—no flimsy parts or poor machining. My mounts use 1/4" threads, and these fit perfectly, instantly giving my cameras the extra height I needed. The difference was clear: the cameras now sit closer to the centre of the ring lights, giving me cleaner, sharper footage with much better light coverage. For the price, I think these adapters are excellent value. They may be small pieces of kit, but they make a big difference when it comes to setup flexibility and overall video quality. If you need to extend the height of your camera or improve its positioning in a lighting rig, I’d highly recommend these.

Very handy to have if you have modular photography kit . Makes a lot of stuff interchangeable so you don’t have to buy new expensive stuff .

Well machined parts, good

The items I received were exactly as the listing implied - four "barrel" type adapters, eight 1/4" to 3/8" thread adapters, four male/male thread adapters, two of which have 3/8" Whitworth threads on one side, the remaining threads being 1/4" Whitworth. At the price (approx six pounds) I rate these adapters as excellent. The quality of the 1/4-3/8 threaded sleeves is as good or better than any I've bought before. The male/male threaded things are OK. The barrel/spigot things are turned aluminium, with a 3/8" female thread in one end and a 1/4" thread in the other. OK, aluminium isn't as tough as brass, but it's perfectly OK for the purpose provided that you don't put excessive loads on them, particularly on the smaller thread. They will take marks from clamping screws, especially if the screws have sharp edges (see rightmost spigot in my first picture), but at the price, this doesn't concern me. In the second picture, I've included a Manfrotto brass spigot, for comparison. Someone pointed out that the aluminium ones supplied here have wider non-recessed ends, and therefore don't clear clamping screws that are close to the bottom of the hole in which they sit, for example in Manfrotto SuperClamps. The thing is, neither do Manfrotto's brass ones. The thing that's meant to go in that hole on a Manfrotto SuperClamp has a very shallow "end" and a conical bearing surface for the clamp screw, so that it is pushed down as well as clamped. A proper Manfrotto arm, intended to fit in a SuperClamp, is also shown in my second picture, and you can see where the clamping screw has bitten it. If you must put these spigots directly into a SuperClamp, then if anything, the aluminium ones work better than the Manfrotto brass ones because the clamp screw isn't bearing on the very edge of the thicker end section, like it does on the brass ones. The aluminium spigots are slightly shorter overall, and also don't have a flat on the narrow section - if you need that, it would be easy to file one. All things considered, at the price paid, I'm more than happy with this set. I needed the thread adapting collars, everything else is, for me, extra. I don't have much use for the male/male adapters, except maybe to join two of the spigot/bobbin things to make a longer one, sometimes.

This is a simple but extremely effective way to use dissimilar camera / telescope screw thread to a tripod. Very easy to use.

Pretty good set and value for money. The only design flaw is in the 1/4 to 3/8" adapters- these have a ridge rather than being countersunk, this means that they protrude above the tripod surface and for my purpose could not be used.

This adapter set is incredibly useful for my photography gear! It allows for seamless mounting of different equipment. The quality is fantastic, and it arrived quickly. I would highly recommend this seller and product!

It did not contain what it should have. For instance there were no male to male 1/4” adapters. Instead I got duplicates of a few others. I also seem to have gotten fewer parts than what I see in photos from other reviews. I’ll be returning this ASAP.
