Did the job of keeping my 3090 cooler as they run very hot

I bought a couple of these to strap to a wayward power supply that was running hot. Not anymore, these bad boys will cool anything.

I had to sand the hot side as it was slightly textured because it's extruded, but occasionally dump about 90 watts into it from 2 transistors and it rarely gets above 40 degrees to speed the fans up with low nominal air flow.

This heatsink is really impressive for the price. I've used several different heatsinks, but when this one was first delivered, I was surprised by how clean and well-finished it was. There were no rough edges or scratches, and no blur around the edges either. A lot of Chinese-made heatsinks tend to have unfinished edges or sharp spots, but this one is exceptionally well-made. On top of that, the price is very reasonable. I'm using two of these on NVMe enclosures with thermal pads, and they do an excellent job of transferring heat. Even without a fan, the setup stays clean, efficient, and the color matches perfectly too.

For $8 dollars delivered it's pretty nice. Very smooth face, fine fins that actually serve to dissipate heat, fine end cuts with no jagged edges, just the right size. Unless you absolutely need something actively cooled with heat pipes or skived copper: this is your clear winner for intermediate size, high quality, passive aluminum heat sinks. Just be sure to arrange the fins vertically so you get a little convective cooling boost from warm air rising.
