Solidly built, good optics, comfortable strap!
Before I bought these, I was actually just looking for a nicer strap for a heavy-ish pair of Bushnells that I use for watching football games. I priced a good neoprene strap at about $15, which isnโt bad, but before I ordered it I thought Iโd see how much Iโd have to pay for a new pair of binoculars that come WITH a nice strap. These popped up with the padded strap and the reviews were consistently good. For 30-ish bucks I gave them a try. Iโve had them for a year now and I am floored by the quality and image! As I said, I have a pair of Bushnell (10x ) porro prism binocs which are decent quality, good for football games, but a bit heavy so the strap is hard on the neck after a long game. I also have a nice pair of compact Nikon 8x Travellers, which are much lighter, but at stadium distances 8x is not quite enough magnification in my opinion. These binocs are listed as 12x, but the image size looks the same as my old 10x pair, so I think 10x would be a more accurate magnification rating. Iโve brought them to three NFL games already and the image is sharp, bright and clear, with some very slight chromatic aberration - barely noticeable, really. They are lightweight but very solidly built, so theyโre heavy enough to stabilize easily, especially when sitting down. Focusing and pupillary distance adjust easily and smoothly and donโt drift. The diopter adjustment has click stops - a nice feature that keeps that from drifting too. Exit pupils are large enough for my old (ish) eyes, so itโs easy to get a solid, single image. So, solid build, good optics, not much money. Whatโs not to like? Additionally, the ownerโs manual says they are lifetime warranted, nitrogen filled and o-ring sealed, so they are supposed to be water-resistant and fogproof. I can attest to fogproof, have my doubts about water-resistant, but so what? Are they as good as my daughterโs Athlonโs? Not quite, but pretty close and less than half the price.

So far, so good!
Works well, decent price. Not military quality, but consider the savings and most bird-watchers aren't going to war.

Extremely clear. Poor depth of field
I bought these for my daughter for her birthday. She likes bird watching. These have amazing magnification and clarity is very good but it is difficult to see through them. It is a struggle to get the eyes aligned and keep them aligned with the lenses. You breathe too heavy and you are looking at a black image instead of what you were meaning to see. I think bigger binoculars would be better for this magnification. I looked through a different pair of about the same size but less powerful and I did not have the same issue. I used to work at a camera store and sold many binoculars. I really think this is a design flaw and not a pair that was made wrong. If you don't mind the fuss and you want a really compact pair for the magnification, get these. You won't be disappointed with the quality. If you get frustrated with not being exactly spot on in the middle of the lenses, these will drive you bonkers.

Unbelievable optics!
This is my second pair of these, and it's a fun story. Altho VERY well made and durable, these do not well endure being run over. I have a small luxury sedan, not an SUV, and they look pretty good and still adjust and focus, but one of the lenses inside the right tube was crushed, and, obviously, spending two or three bills to repair $45 binocs would be ridiculous, so I ordered another. This is a separate, interesting story. I was down at my kid brother's in San Diego when I one-clicked them, specifying free shipment. That was wednesday evening, and the first promise was delivery the following tuesday. As I wasn't going to be back home until sunday, I figured good enough. Then, I got a notice that they had been delivered friday morning, and there was a photo of the package, sitting at my front door. Well, I live in a nice neighborhood, and when we rolled up sunday afternoon, the package was still there. As with the first, these were perfect out of the box and are marvelous binocs for an unbelievable price. The optical quality is positively CREEPY good, and they are lightweight worn around the neck and adjust and focus smoothly. Being 12x, they are sometimes hard to hold still, but the image is incredible and the field of view is wide enough to be very useful. They accommodate a tripod mount adapter, this found by unscrewing the knurled nut between the objective lenses. The cell phone gadget works only fairly well with my Moto X, and I see only a circular, but sharp, image in the center of the phone. Given that, it DOES work and you might find it useful. With phones being made ever bigger and thinner, the adapter might not accept yours. I suggest you not consider this an important reason for buying these. Just generally: These are SUPERB binocs with SUPERB optical quality, easy to carry and use. Don't depend on the cell phone gimmick, and don't run them over with your car.

Bought for our grandson after he liked ours (the same). Keep them around or in the car, good to look at the animals on their property in Australia.

I like that these Binoculars are light and don't fogup as I use them in my work as a racing steward.
