Overboard Pro-Vis High Visability 100% Waterproof Backpack Bag Rucksack

Bought this to use as a day pack and hand luggage for traveling around the Philippines, which meant that when I went out on motorbike expeditions through the jungle and island hopping on a rented catamaran I needed a bag that could keep up. It ticked multiple boxes and was versatile. It was just the right size and held up really well. fits under the seat in front on planes or in overhead lockers well. It dried out very quickly and was comfortable to carry. Bungees on the front and mesh pockets on the side came in very handy and the internal storage pocket was useful too. The bright color meant it was easy to spot at all times and I would definitely notice it if it were to go walkies.

I purchased this bag because I cycle to work with a laptop and it was getting damp in the rain. I friend of mine has ruined a laptop like this so a decided to get something totally waterproof. For short distance commuting this bag is fantastic, it keeps your stuff dry, is very visible a night and fits a lot for a 20l pack. However, it is on the heavy side and it can be difficult to keep your stuff organised. I originally ordered this bag with the overboard "Backpack Tidy" but found it was way too small for my 15" laptop and poorly constructed, so I'm now just using a regular laptop sleeve in the bag. This works ok for me but I would prefer a more robust solution built into the bag.

Wasted a lot of time comparing other commuting bags...I'm delighted with this buy. I commute M-F and get seriously wet here in Dublin, however all contents remain bone dry. The straps do need a bit of adjustment initially as the bag rides high. It comfortably fits jeans, shirt, towel etc. It's worth paying that bit extra...
