Just what I wanted for a reference on Designs and Motifs from India. Pictures were sharp and clear. Love It!

Disappointed. I was expecting something different. More paisley and designs that could be used for tattoo patterns.

The patterns are smoothly rendered and professional looking as far as quality. They are not rough drawings like in some of the clip art books. The locations of where these things came from are on many of the pages. There are both Islamic and Hindu patterns and illustrations in this book. I wanted more Hindu items but the Islamic patterns are still nice. There is a lot of variety in this book. This book has a few simple individual repetitive elements and border pieces that can be repeated and it also has really intricate designs. There are some animal illustrations. Some designs are stencil style and some are not. It does not come with a CD but it will be easy to scan.

Des planches en noir et blanc représentant toutes sortes de motifs de l'art indien. Un regret - pour débutante comme moi - je m'attendais à ce que les motifs soient plus aisés à copier. Ce livre est destiné à des spécialistes du dessin.

Les motifs de ce livre sont magnifiques, plein de détails, de finesse. je souhaitais m'en inspirer pour des travaux personnels. Seul bémol, les explications du site de découverte sont en anglais, dommage... Sinon que leur origine soit répertoriée est un plus.
