Love this little thermometer. I've taken temperature of just about everything I can...food, the aquarium, the room et cetera. It's too sharp of an end to take a human...stabbing wise. I've had mine for over a year and the battery is still fine. You can't beat this for the price.

Update- As mentioned below works great as spa water temp tester. Had aprox 3 weeks and the pointer fell out of unit body. So as usual the return window closed and I am stuck with a faulty thermometer.I did like it for spa tester but not sure the quality is there.? However could have received a defective unit.Not sure I would reorder this brand but because it worked so well for a bit for spa I will leave the stars.Yes, LOL! I am using it for a spa thermometer. Easy read pretty true to temp and even my spa guy agreed worked fine. Most thermometers on Amazon are tiny - don't last long - not easy to read and I have spent enough on junk, so decided this had to be a better choice and it was! Works great- Think about it? Used in kitchen for candy boiling water so ? Spa Warm water - keeping temp on spa 100 - Great Item. Glad I purchased this just for that purpose......... Wild huh?

I like this item and use it every time I mold. It makes me sure that my resin is at the correct temp to pour

Update:Seller contacted me after I submitted the original review and offered to replace the product at no additional cost or refund the purchase. I chose to have the product replaced. The new product arrived in a timely manner and works! I have used it several times and it is accurate--and works! Which is most important!When I first received this thermometer I had to hold it just right to get it to work. I never used it and now it does not work at all. I changed the battery, tested battery (it is full), and it still does not work. Should have returned in return period.
