Best quality dark chocolate bar!
Love this high quality dark chocolate bar for baking or snacking. It has just the right ratio of sugar to cocoa. This is the best value for the highest quality dark chocolate bar. I keep them on hand, they make welcomed gifts, as well!

Delicious and safe to eat
We had been buying Lindt 70% 4-packs at BJ's, for years after they switched from Ghirardelli. Then recently we saw the Consumer Reports article on cadmium and lead in certain brands of dark chocolate. Lindt did not fare well, but Ghirardelli was deemed safe. So to Amazon we went and got the good stuff! Not looking back.

Good deal but.....problems
I got several orders of these over time because the price is good and usually great taste and texture. They have been great until the last shipment. They tasted like they had been frozen, sort of flat. The texture was not soft as usual and crumble when you bite into them . I wrote to the sender and they said they would send a couple to try from another site and they never did. So I will buy elsewhere.

You never can be sure of freshness
Liked most for the price. Least liked that 2 of the bar packs were not fresh, Discolored chocolate.

So good they cannot keep up the supply.
For good reason this is by far the most popular of Ghiradelli's dark chocolate bars - most grocery stores cannot keep it in stock, so one has to resort to the 60% or the 80% which are too sweet or too bitter (but much more available). It's almost as though Ghiradelli doesn't want to make money.
