Great printer
East to set up accepts compatible inks and top quality results on photo paper.

Well built, easy to install and use. Not the best colour reproduction
I like the build of this. It's quiet and prints an A3 colour photo in a couple of minutes which is OK. In my tests it didn't reproduce the greens in my images very well. They came out darker than they should, whereas the browns and other autumn colours were a lot better. I've checked the same image with an Epson printer I have and the greens on that were closer to my original image ( shame it was only an A4 printer). Canons photo glossy paper was quite expensive compared to its competitors that I chose.

Excellent printer
My preference has always been Canon. This printer is brilliant, Canon improves their products constantly, the performance of this printer and quality of printing is outstanding for the price. It look good too.

Really great printer.
Fantastic bit of kit. A joy to use. Never had a printer before and I was keen to learn outside the streamlined workflows, and it's going really well. After a few hours of using it I'm making high quality Christmas cards of my paintings.

A really really good printer.
I have been using printers for over 30 years and this is one of the best. WHY? It's cheap to run and gives brilliant quality photos. I can't afford to buy the Canon cartridges, but there are a number of cartridge sellers here on Amazon. You can pick up a pack of 5 sets for around £25 and they last ages. If you get a photo that doesn't look good. Its usually down to the print head being blocked with dry ink. This can be resolved with the automatic clean heads cycle. But its worth buying a small bottle of print head cleaner. A few drops of this on a qtip (cotton bud) and held against the print head soon clears it out. Canon printers don't use loads of ink like the Epson printers do to clear the ink so are economicle. Had my printer for 4 years and have had to unblock it twice. Buy the best 3rd party cartridges you can afford and you will be happy with this printer. 😊
