I bought this for my decking which was very icy a few weeks ago, I have cats so wanted something pet friendly , it melted the ice and didn't bother the cats at all.

Not tried it yet by the time it arrived snow had gone

I live in the far north of Scotland, off a single track road, up quite a gradient, consequently you can't always get out and about safely. I was interested in buying this product as it was pet safe, first and foremost and I would be able to clear the ice and snow off the road and be able to get out as required, or in an emergency. But I cannot, the product doesn't work, as far as I can see it has had no effect whatsoever. I would not recommend this product. Snow shovels and ice along with a quick thaw soon please.

Been using this for a few winters now and it does exactly as it says. Put it down the night before and it does indeed prevent frost but if you forget or get a surprise cold snap you can sprinkle it on top and it works extremely fast. No slips or slides since buying this. Our dog has walked over it many times without issue, a quick sniff to see what it is and that’s it.

Bought this last year for our composite decking and worked a treat. No salt marks or evidence of damage to the decking, have also used on the mono block drive. Have bought the bigger tub this year and thankfully we have as have used it a few times already this year. Very quick deliver and would recommend.

as bought when the snow and ice might come, and my area avoided the snow this winter, but as time marches on, maybe the coming winter will get to try it, any help to keep ice from paths driveway will be good
