Then one day I was in a small record shop (all CDs at the time as it happens) that I heard someone asking if the had either of the albums. He really raved about them having been pleasantly surprised when he heard them at a friend's house.I bought the two albums and loved the Beverley Skeete was a revelation and Georgie Fame sounded brilliant. What this collection of brilliant musicians do is play music they love with real joy and everything is so beautifully judged.Having been listening to all the albums these tracks are drawn from on CD and digital I decided to see if any were available on vinyl. I have to say that I was a little unsure about this 4 vinyl disc set. Although the packaging looked well designed I was unsure what the listening experience would be with the songs with Georgie Fame and Beverley Skeete on lead vocals being separated out, part of the beauty of the original albums is the juxtaposition of their songs in the running order.
