Only when you get these out of the packaging do you read that these can’t be used within a couple of metres of each other so unless you have an application with a solo down lighter, these are not a good choice. I can’t use them so I can’t rate any other aspect of their performance.

Been looking for something like this for some time. We have a light fitting above a recessed alcove outside our front door. It was previously fitted with halogen bulb. It is dark when coming home and night and without leaving the light on before you go out, attracting inspects etc, it always meant trying to find the lock in poor lighting. Now with the PIR, the switch is just left on inside and when anyone approaches the door, the light comes on.Ideal for areas where you pass through and people don't seem to be able to switch lights off!Have put 3 stars for longevity as it is difficult to know at this stage

Sadly I can’t comment on their effectiveness as I hadn’t realised you can’t have two close to each other. My loo has two spot lights and I was hoping to use these as everyone forgets to switch off the lights, when there arrived, I went to fit and there’s an instructions card with the distance requirement of not less than a metre between the bulbs. Very disappointed!

6 weeks in the item has now fully failed, not sure if because of the cold. 3 weeks ago the sensor was turning the light on/off randomly despite no issues with the ambient light changing. The light is on the underside of a covered porch and therefore there is no chance that rain has got to it. Was really chuffed at first as it worked as expected for 3 weeks and then has gone downhill since that.I'll be asking for a refund 🙁

I put these in my kitchen and in my stairwell. The ones on the stairs are perfect and do a great job. In a kitchen they are very dangerous. There have been many times where whilst chopping something with a sharp knife they have just suddenly turned off and left me in the pitch black. They seem to have a small delay of around 5seconds to turn back on if I wave my hand at them. Don't put these in a kitchen!

I thought these would be the solution to mum a problem but they don’t work very well. Difficulty to activate. Stay on a limited time even with movement. Very light sensitive- unless it’s really dark they don’t work well.

I have only owned this product for around one month so I can’t comment on the products longevity as of yet. However, the brightness is great, the sensor is perfect (even picks up the dog). Fit for purpose and much cheaper than other rivals. Just what I needed.

These work perfectly and have been lighting my landing for over a year with no issues. Installation was a bit finnicky as the IR sensor dome sticks out so you have to remove the glass if installing in ceiling fixtures. Aside for the IR dome these are standard gu22 bulb dimensions.
