Sturdy but they do float
As others have mentioned, the jacks do float in water. However, I have not had any issues with mixing from this. I have used these for preworkout, protein, and scrambling eggs. It worked great. I throw them in any stainless steel bottle and get after it. I would use these over the steel spiral blender balls any day.

These jacks make decent shaker ball replacements, the Jaxx branded ones are nicer and easier to clean but these will do.

Easy to use in most cups- not just smoothie shakers.

Better than the metal!
Most blender bottles come with those metal balls for blending. I bought these as a substitute and I LOVE them! they are easy to clean and mix up protein and pre-workout better than the metal ones that come with the bottles!

I bought these thinking they would be quite in a metal shaker bottle but they are no better than the metal ones that came with the shakers

These things suck. Total garbage.
They don't work. Don't waste your money. Just buy a standard metal ball like in the blender bottle.I bought these for travel. I can only carry so much and wanted to use this in conjunction with my hydroflask, which I use for everything and not have to lug around a blender bottle. I thought the plastic would be nice as it wouldn't be abrasive and damage the metal inside the hydrolysis, like the metal ball, but this just doesn't do an even halfway decent job of blending up the protein powder or any powder. I've also tried it with pre-workout and it still sucks. It doesn't work in a blender bottle either.Total garbage.
