We got this for our daughter's birthday because she loves taking pictures and videos. And she is under 10 and still learning to read and firgured out how to work it within minutes before we could even tell her or show her how it worked. Super simple to use. And it's durable in its case. Wouldn'tgo throwing it or hitting it into a wall, but minor bumps and falls are so far fine for it. She doesn't like the case. But it helps keep it safe plus the colorful lanyard it comes with is connected to it (after you connect it) so helps her not lose it while out and about. She almost has 500 pictures /videos taken too. So great memory storage. It also has cute filters and games. It's battery life is really good too. She's had it for a week and we've only had to charge it twice so far. We haven't tested it in water yet. But I'm sure it's water resistant to a point. Like most waterproof/resistant things are. I'd definitely recommend this has a gift even to older kids as well. Oh and it's size is great. Neither of my kids have issues holding it. And the weight isn't bad too. It's just a perfect camera for toddlers and kids.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Bought this for our Grandson. We were going on a family vacation. He loved it, especially that it took pictures in the water. Charge lasted a long time considering he was taking photos of everything from a blade of grass to the sunset. Worth while purchase. My grandson loves his camera. He has taken it on a cruise & has used it for several events. It has held up well to an 8 year old. Light weight & comes with a bike attachment, helmet attachment & small tripod. He loves it. My only issue was I had to find a case to fit it & its supplements. I wish it had come with one. Good value & easy for an 8 year old to use.

This is only waterproof when properly in the waterproof case. Didn’t have it latched all the way and water ruined the camera. Small size and fun for kids to take their own photos or videos.

My grandson (3.5 years old) loved the Easter Bunny bringing this. It is holding up well. Keep in mind that this doesn't have pictures like a cell phone. I don't know if the settings can change that. I wouldn't print out any photos. I think my grandson just loves taking pictures and showing them off. He has a lot of fun with it. The price is great.

It does work underwater, but past 30-35 feet the pressure becomes too much and the buttons no longer work. That said, it went to 70 feet and came out unscathed. The case it comes in kept water out nicely too. As for actual picture quality, it's probably about what you expect, but if you're not concerned about fine details and just want a quick, low-hassle point-and-shoot, it gets the job done.

My son loves his camera. We got it for him as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, though, the case is great until it's not. The clasp unfortunately broke which can happen with a five-year-olds curiosity, they open it, take it out, put it back in & repeat. Well, the clasp broke off after a certain amount of opening & closing and has been MIA ever since.Regardless of the broken clasp, this camera can certainly handle being tossed around and dropped by a clumsy five-year-old even without a case. Which is impressive! Only negative issue I've had with the camera is repeating which buttons to use on the camera, but he's five and I don't mind repeating myself.Now if you find yourself as someone who gets easily annoyed with repeating themselves or losing pieces to a case AND not being able to buy a replacement clasp, I'd opt for the cheaper version that it just the camera. Otherwise, I'd definitely buy again in the future for someone else's child.
