Extra points for the cats!
This was a nice, simple, steamy romance. There was enough plot to keep me interested, and it was peppered with a little humour. A pleasant read!

Sweet!!
Chloe is back in her old hometown as she has inherited an old farmhouse, which she wants to fix up and sell. Drew is a firefighter who is friendly and caring, and has a reputation for taking in strays, and one of them is a three-legged cat called Bodhi, who insists on getting into Chloe’s house and peeing on her front porch. This is a well written story which has Bodhi stealing the show with his antics. This is a well written story which is sweet, humorous, and with witty banter, passion, tension, and love, which leads to a steamy and heartwarming addictive page tuner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Danger, Romance and Suspense
Chloe comes back to the town she was born in and starts renovating the house that had been left to her. As she is in the process of knocking down walls and decorating, she meets a 3 legged cat belonging to one of her neighbours and after a slightly grumpy spat they become friends and spend time together. Both of them have real issues to deal with from their pasts and we find that plenty of danger, romance and humour, tension, steamy scenes and an interferring cat all add up to a great read.Really enjoyed this book by an author was new to me.

Heartwarming
Chloe comes back to the town she was born in the fox and sell the house her grandmother left her. Her neighbor is hot Firefighter Drew who thought he was going to buy the house from Chloe’s dad. Their first meeting is a bit grumpy due to his nosey cat. As way of apology Drew offers to help Chloe with the work on the house. They are attracted to each other from the start, but Chloe isn’t planning on staying so neither of them are sure where this is going. The more time they send together the closer they become and sparks fly between them. I loved Drew’s connection with his cat and how focused he was on his job. He was sweet and hot. Chloe has suffered a traumatic experience when she was young and doesn’t know if she can handle the danger involved with Drew’s job. Chloe at first seemed strong, but it soon becomes clear that she has had so much to deal with and this has left her nervous of getting involved, but I liked that she was also strong and determined. Drew had a difficult childhood and finds it hard to trust people. Their struggles make their HEA all the more heartwarming

Sweet and easy read. I liked it a lot
I got an arc for this book. It is also my first from the author.I really liked it.I gave 4 stars only because i feel like it was kinda easy or like idk how to explain it... but they were in love after 2 days of knowing each other and that just feels too easy for me....but the book itself and the story I liked. Loved the characters and I think the cats are the best ones lol :))I loved how they acted towards one another and how they understood what to do i every situation. It was a sweet, good and quick read.

Smoldering Love
The connection between Drew, a brave, handsome firefighter and Chloe, a young, headstrong woman intent on making a new beginning for her life by renovating and selling the family homestead left to her by her paternal grandmother is immediate and will melt your heart. The storyline is heartbreaking at times but also full of laughter as Bodhi, the three-legged cat that Drew adopted manages to pee all over Chloe’s front porch as he checks her out and makes a connection with her. Chloe hasn’t been in town for 18 years, since the night her drunken father abandons her in the car he wrecked. Thankfully she is saved by a local firefighter, known as Big Mac and her mother whisks her away so her father cannot harm her again. As Drew and Chloe learn more about each other, they find they have much heartache in common, his issues with abandonment when his biological parents deserted him and Chloe’s PTSD over the accident and anxiety issues that everyone she cares about dies. There’s plenty of sizzle as these two find endearing love with Bodhi and a new family member. The storyline isn’t run of the mill and will rock all the feels.

So Hot it is on 🔥
Found family is one of my favorite tropes, and this book exemplifies it. He never knew his family and she has lost her family but somehow they find each other in this neighbors to lovers story. Ok, so maybe the cat had something to do with it. The cat definitely had something to do with it. Instalove (or as I call it When You Know You Know) plus outside obstacles and internal struggles make this hot story into a smoldering tale.

Choosing your own family.
Great story about the enduring human spirit. Having worked with foster children, my heart always breaks when I read about one who has suffered abuse and neglect in the system. Children who endure abuse and neglect from their own parents are doubly hurt because that's hurt from the one who should love you most. Put one from each scenerio together and you have the makings for this book. Drew was just perfect and the steamy love these two generated is the stuff fairytails are made of. Beautiful story with a perfect ending.

I needed this story, it was sweet, sassy, spicy and had just enough angst to keep the heartstrings tugging. Loved it!
