For home defense you're probably not going to be shooting from your gun safe. Once you're away from there, you may need more shells. Throw this over your shoulder (with adrenaline you won't feel the weight) and you're good. It holds the 12 gauge shells just right. You'll never run out of shells during home defense.

Apparently my 76 yr old father thinks he's rambo.... but seriously, he found a similar product on another website, the price was outrageous plus $11 for shipping and $1 insurance. I searched amazon and found this... TWO for less than half the price of the other website and he actually liked these better. RECOMMEND>

So after reviewing the reviews, I ordered a set of two (instead a set of four) just in case the bad reviews were correct, I find that my 12 gauge rounds, while a tight fit, do fit in to the bandolier. As I say, it is tight, and requires some finesse, but they will fit in and will be snug in the slots. I am going to order a few more, and I don't have anything to say other than I did think they'd be a but longer, but they are more attuned to a shorter man like me. As you can see in the pictures, these are the same 12 gauge rounds that I have in my 5 round mag.I'd like it to be longer, maybe a bit less tight, but as a whole it is functional and worth the price. It would be a 5 star if it was just a tiny bit looser.

Most fighting shotguns only hold between 6-8 rounds. You can add a carrier, but it does add weight to the gun.This shell carrier is actually very comfortable to wear. With it fully loaded it is weighed down and doesn't move much.The negative I would say is the shells are easy to access on the front, but the shells on your back are not. However, just practicing with it. The angle point is most comfortable on your shoulder. But you can just rotate the bandolier over your shoulder and you can access the other shells if you need without taking it off.Inexpensive and a great addition for 3 gun or self defense needs.

I read the reviews about how it's not possible to load 12ga shells but I decided to take a chance and ordered a two-pack. Perhaps there are variations, mine actually hold 59 12ga shells. At first it was very difficult to load the shells but I figured out how to do it easily. I tilt the shell and place the top edge of it under the loop. I then hold the loop on the shell and tilt the shell horizontally and twist it in a circular motion as I slide it into the loop. I can easily and quickly load the shells in this way. I'm totally happy with what I received. The shells fit tight and they're easy to load.

I thought this would be a cool way to carry extra shells and what do you know? It is and it carries the them perfectly! Yes they are hard to get the shells in, but if it wasn't hard it would be easy for them to fall out! Not to mention this is well made product and I see it lasting for a long time.

This will be great for when the SHTF.I have a couple of them full and ready to rock!
