It’s as wide as the saddle rails and doesn’t come down all that much. But BEWARE: I would also imagine you’ll need really nice cages because I ride the road with a tri bike and if I hit a couple bumps in the road my bottle will fall out. The receiving threads were painted over and I needed my drill just to get the screws to clear out the threads. Had to removed the screws and proceed to installing on my bike to find I needed an L-shaped Allen wrench to screw the top screw in because there wasn't enough clearance for my multipurpose tool.
