What are we trying to do here?
This is the 2023 'not too confusing but really can be confusing' name of the new Razer earbuds are called āHammerhead Pro HyperspeedāEach of those words have been used in previous models and varied product lines but not all together if that helps. In the pics you can see the case and buds compared to the 2021āish Hammerhead True Wireless (2nd gen) and the 2019ish entry level still being sold today. If you are looking for a low-priced top performer, and especially for those that like the old school ear bud (I call them drop in ear vs modern ear canal type buds), Razer has the discounted 2019 HHs with BT 5.0, 13mm drivers that are fantastic. So cheap you can order 2 so you have a backup! The top tier HH Pro Hyperspeeds reside more in the ear canal and come with just 3 tip sizes. At this price point you often see a flex of these options, even though fluff for some, it would be nice bonus to have 5 sized tips to really get a good fit.The buds as a pair weigh 12 grams, 2 grams more than the 2021 HH True Wireless (same form factor). With case the HH Pro Hyperspeeds weigh 58 grams vs 2021 HH 53.You are going to turn off Chroma if you expect any kind of battery life. Iāll report back later if Bluetooth vs USB-C dongle connection varies greatly in talk time.Besides the wireless charging/USB-C charging case and ear tips, you get two cables, one of which lets you move the 2.4GHz dongle away from pc or attack via USB 2 port. You also get a sticker sheet with Chroma RBG and āsnakeā design stickers. The app has the same and similar options to other Razer audio. I noticed I couldnāt disable the ātripleā tap. (I disable all tap functionality as I tend to hang up on people accidentally). The triple tap is how you change from Bluetooth to USB-C dongle wireless! Worked like a champ.USB-C sounded the same as BT in my recordings on Teams. One out of 4 Bluetooth callers thought I sounded āmuffledā a bit. I attempted to swing the little boom out and away from my face, but it did not help. Others had no comment about quality even when asked. As to ANC, even when maxed out my keyboard was heard. But wind noise with a loud fan blowing in my face from 2 feet away, was NOT heard.Overall, not too impressed, especially compared to previous more affordable Razer buds. As a gamer worried about latency, youād have high end cans or just use integrated speakers. As a business type looking for ANC, Iāve seen WAY better at this price point. It does have a THX mode in the equalizer, but I went to custom once again. The music reproduction was loud, just like the 2021 Gen2... and I couldn't tell them apart.A sad 2.5 stars.

Bette than expected
Initial review. I have only had these for about a day, have used them a couple hours. They sound good for earbuds. I have only been using the usb c receiver and havenāt noticed any type of delay. The range is amazing. I can walk all around my house and they stay connected. The mic isnāt too bad, while using discord they were able to hear and understand me. While I cannot state exactly how the mic is since Iām not the one hearing it, they said it was decent, not as good as a headset with an actual mic. The main reason I wanted these was to use 1 earbud at a time to keep the other side open and for that these work amazing. It works flawless to use 1 earbud, then when needed to swap them out, this way they always stay charged as well, same as I do with my AirPods. My only complaint so far is comfort, after awhile my ear does get sore, I will play around with the different ear tips though and see if it improves. Still have yet to find anything as comfortable as apples AirPods, but those are horrible to use with discord. Will update my review once I have more time with these.

Low Volume
These sound pretty good compared to most ear buds for gaming. I have tested 4 or 5 ear buds and 3 over the ear headsets lately. So far nothing compares to my Astro A50ās but I would like the option of wireless earbuds on occasion. The problem I have is when I am in a game they donāt get very loud. YouTube/iTunes they go as loud as you want but for some reason I canāt get even close to that in game. They are right up there with my airpod pros as far as music and video sound quality. I have only been using them for a few hours but I have exhausted all of my current tuning options. Not sure if I want to try to find foam tips and keep testing them or if I want to send them back. I have the rgb turned off to see what they can do for battery life. So far the right one seems to burn through the battery faster, about 12% less than the left.
