My 6 year old son loves the Isabel Soto comic books. They're fun and educational. Isabel Soto can travel back in time to learn about history and sometimes a little bit of geography, too. In this book her karate instructor sends her on a mission to find the shadowless kick. In her search she learns the history and styles of 4 types of martial arts: karate, jujitsu, taekwondo and kung fu. Isabel always has an adventure and in this book she's attacked by bandits. My son just started taking karate this year, so he enjoyed this. The fact that it is a comic just makes it more exciting. He can enjoy looking at the book by himself even though he can't quite read it yet.
