This is my go-to temporary coverup for gray roots. It is easy to apply and pinpoint where needed. I have light brown hair, and this light color works best.

This was alright, it went on a little darker than I wanted and it did rub off a bit.

I originally bought this with some reservation. But it works so much better than the messy powders or sprays. And the price is less than everything else I’ve ever tried. It does not rub off on my pillowcases. There’s no accident spraying the wall in my bathroom by accident or burning of the scalp. Color matches excellent. Highly recommend this product.

I got this to cover grays between dye jobs. It is a powder that is pressed into a crayon. It goes on easy but the powder does stain skin and clothing. You use the other end to brush it off the skin. The sponge side is ok, but some cotton rounds will give a cleaner look. It does cover the gray but only for a short time. After 2-3 hours my hair looks like it did before application.If you need a quick touch up for a photo shoot- it will be great for that. Otherwise use something else

Love these gray color quick sticks, I use 2 to 3 colors as I have frosted brunette hair, and they cover grey perfectly and no one ever knows there is gray around my facial area. Just draw the stripes in around my face = it blends wonderfully.Update: Thought I'd post photos showing these Gray Away Color sticks are so easy and impressive, and the first photo is a winter photo, I live in the Florida Keys, and the topknot photo just shows a little of my back underneath brunette hair as most of it is my blonde frosting heavier around the face in the summer. I do brush on a Roux Fanciful "Spun Sand" temporary rinse, purchased from Amazon and I'll post this there too) - but it makes the hair ALL one/same color which does not look natural compared to the rest of my hair needing me to apply my Gray Away streaks to match the rest of my hair and it's super easy (doesn't even take 5 minutes!), like hand coloring, and use 3 colors: Black to dark brown; Light brown (which is a little reddish) and Lightest Brown/Medium Blonde, the latter of which I use to cover most of the starting point hair where the gray hair is just emerging from the follicle at the nearest edge to the face. I'll try to remember to take a photo of my gray starting point, because I've got a good 1 1/2" - 2" of SOLID WHITE hair at my facial hairline that just disappears with these products - as you can see in the two photos.Update: Added photo progression in addition to normal hairstyle photo, topknot photo with Spun Sand Fanciful base and color sticks applied, gray hair starting point, just Spun Sand rinse applied, final photo current hair with gray treatment complete

I had reservations. I have bought the spray kind before and was hoping the stick would be better for frontal touch ups. I ordered the brown/black color, it does not match my hair perfectly, but I knew the black alone would be too dark for my dark brown hair. It is easy to apply; it just does not stay on. Everything this product claimed not to be, it was the complete opposite. It DOES smear (claims to be rain resistant) I will never know, every time I touched my hair or scratched in that area more of the hair dye came off. Not ideal to walk around with black finger tips/nails. Thank goodness i was not sweating, afraid t see that end result. The first day, I used it by the end of the day most of the hair dye was gone and left a smeared looked with streaks of grey. The second try, it just left a residue build up. I will not be purchasing this again, looking for something else.

I purchased this in Lightest Brown/Medium Blonde. Brown would have probably been a better color for my roots but, because I am only trying to cover greys, I would rather have it too light than too dark. I was a little worried when this arrived because the box looked like it had been ravaged by a pack of wolves. I was sure the stick itself would be damaged but it was not. This is very easy to use and it is not messy to apply. If you are unsure, it is basically like a soft crayon or artist's soft pastels for your hair. I use it at my temples so I pull the hair away from my scalp and rub this on then use the blender to kind of push it around a bit and even it out. It is only a temporary color and does wash out. I am not sure how water-resistant it is for activities like swimming or when sweating but it stays on very well during my regular day. I would definitely purchase this again.
