Bose SoundSport Free Truly Wireless Sport Headphones - Black

I have several Bose headphone including the QC30 and have recently purchased the SoundSport Free. My thoughts after a month: Weight. Some speak of them as being heavy in the ears, this is not the case. I have relatively small ears and these fit well and do not protrude as much as people claim. They seal well, the wing tip supplied are by far the best I have used with many similar products. Even after a whole day listening these are fine. I don't do the gym but do walk my dog, there is no wind noise, they do a great job at isolating ambient noise. Battery Life. Superb, I listen all morning, put them back in the case while I eat lunch and they are good to go for the whole afternoon. The simplicity of the charging via the case is a dream, the magnetic recess which holds them in the case is a nice design. Some say the case is too large but I have not found it all bulky in the front pocket of jeans an chinos. Sound Quality. For me this is the most important factor, I follow the ethos of testing headphones by listening to tracks I know well, and I have done this with these, they offer very crisp clear audio, warm and very pleasing depth with good bass, a very powerful soundstage, there is a purity to them that I think is beyond compare with many more expensive wireless earphones and earbuds. Style & Build Quality. The colours on offer are funky, the buttons are quite small but easy to get used to but they are definitely not so hard that you have to remove them from your ears to use the options. I very easily updated them via the Bose support site to the latest software upgrade, it was a necessary upgrade for phone-call quality and a doddle to do. Overall - This is a quality product that will hold its place in the wireless earbud market for a long time to come. There are clearly Bose lovers and hater, if you are a hater, you are unlikely to be reading this review, for the lovers, adding these to their range has been a triumph. Expensive, maybe, but quality always is.

Bought these earphones some two months ago having waited for them to come out in the uk. Looked at many different completely wireless earphones first, but all seemed to have one problem or another (signal drops etc). So far i’m really impressed! I run and use the gym with these, when in the gym, the connection stays solid even when I excercise with my phone on the floor. When running, the earphones have never fallen out or even felt like they would, they ‘wiggle’ a bit but this causes no problems. I run with my phone on an armband or just with my watch and the connection to both has been rock solid. Sound quality is really good, probably better than I really need for excercise! Although I have to admit that the volume is not as high as I might hope (if a class is on in the gym, their music can be heard even at full volume) but when running they really are loud enough and allow ambient noise in making them safer to run with. I even ski’d with them and they were spot on! I tend to use them for about an hour at a time and never get a low battery, can’t confirm the 5hrs quoted though, can’t deny it either! Finally size, when I have them in some people comment on a ‘Frankenstein’ resemblance, but I believe they are smaller than most. The charge case is amazing, from the photos I expected a case around the size of a glasses case, but it is much smaller. Very happy and perfect for my use.

Fantastic sound you expect from BOSE is this product. Comfortable fit also. Love them and love the charging case. Feels like a premium product. Would highly recommend. I do have a few things I wasn’t a fan of: When using them for a phone call, conversation can only be heard in the right ear. This was listed as a feature for some reason. Prefer to hear a caller in both my ears like with the other wireless BOSE headphones that are available which I own (BOSE Soundsport Bluetooth wireless in ear headphones and BOSE Quiet comfort II) The person I’m speaking to can hear me perfectly clear which is good though. Other thing not a fan of is when playing music loud, apparently people next to me can hear my music therefore sound leakage is evident. Nothing major though and I’m sure just the norm when it comes to earphones. Nobody mentioned anything about my other headphone usage though. Final point is BOSE share play feature, they can’t be used with these earphones if this is a feature you have used previously etc. Overall, I would recommend these, they look nice, sound fab and love the charging case. I’m looking forward to BOSE noise cancelling version coming out in 2020.

I have been using these now in the gym for about a week and let me start off by saying that I really do love these!! Totally recommend them and that's why I have given them 4 stars as there is a little issue with them I will explain later! The pairing was really easy, and they just worked great with my iPod Nano device. The sound quality for me is awesome and even those these are not noise isolation they do a really good job! When I am in the gym and have the volume up on them I dont hear any of my surroundings. I am not a runner, so only use these for gym workouts and while weightlifting but they honestly are superb. So.. what didnt I like about them? The only gripe I have with these is they stick out a bit from the ear. This isnt a big problem until you do any sort of running. Soon as you start running with them there is a "bouncy" feeling in the ear. They never fall out and they have a very good tight fit for me unlike other brands I have tried before. You do get used to the "bouncy" feeling and start ignoring it after 5-10 mins but could have been avoided if the design was more flush with your ear or the weight of the ear piece got reduced. Also after the firmware update I did the left earbud stopped playing sounds through it. This annoyed me for ages until I held the bluetooth button in for 10 seconds to clear the devices list from the Bose, then I cleared the pairing from my iPod nano. After I did a new sync everything started working again and has been working find since for a few days now. So looks like the left bud got out of sync from the master right side some how. But before you send them back cause of this issue just re-sync them and see if it helps. So overall, if you are not a runner or dont mind the "bouncy" feeling in your ear then I would recommend them! Yes they are expensive but Bose quality is defiantly shown in this product.

1st I will start with bloody hell bose you really did it once again ! 5***** thanks Yes these are top noch ! I questioned the price tag but since I purchased them I no longer do lol. They do not fall out nor can I anything outside of the ear buds so when I have had enough of the Missus I put them in & that’s, that problem sorted😂 Very slick bit of kit I have to say ! Now to sound quality... second to none ppl it’s a must buy I’m afraid if your a music lover like me. Find my ear buds works fantastic. I don’t believe you will find anything that come close to this item. Yes I have tbh they lag when watching YouTube music videos but come on ppl get yourself on Apple Music & you will not have this problem... if you can afford these then you can afford Apple Music 😂 don’t do half mesauses here I’m afraid! Anyway just taken them out as I’m deaf now so bloody loud & still the quality is there. All other features work fantastic too ! I ordered in the morning selected same day delivery & received by 6.30pm same day. A big thank you to Bose & Amazon for such an outstanding item & a big thank you to Amazon for your reliable same day delivery service. Have to say that at first sight I thought they were too heavy and bulky, sticking some way out of my ears so I didn't think that they'd be for me. However having played them for a fair bit of today I have to say that they are fantastic! I changed the ear clip to a better size for me (3 included), downloaded the bose connect app and followed the easy instructions to pair. It's worth noting that phone calls only come through the right earpiece, but this is stated in the manual and not a fault. Also once they go into standby mode (you can set the time for this in the app according to personal preference) you need to click buttons on each earpiece to re-pair them, not just the right one, which may explain some of the issues raised in other reviews about the left earpiece not working. Early days I know, but so far so good and in summary they are really comfortable, and sound amazing. There's no noticeable movement in the ear when I'm moving around, although I have not tried to exercise in them yet. They also seem extremely well made and robust. Just a word of warning though, if you are looking for something small and subtle these are probably not for you.

Having just purchased 2 sets of earbuds over the past couple of weeks from Amazon, I was sold by the hype of these Bose SoundSport Free buds and, as I already have a number of Bose products including SoundWave digital DAB radio/CD, home cinema system, QC20 earphones and car system, I thought these will be much better than the SoundPeats and Enacfire earbuds I have just purchased. At more than 4 times the price of the other earbuds I purchased, these Bose Soundsport Free should be the biz... The packaging itself would save at least 20% off the price if Bose cared about such things however as exclusivity is their goal, price is not a priority. The earbuds themselves are great, they fit nicely without coming loose and were fully charged and working straight out the box. Bose would have you download and use their “Connect” app which includes user manual and apparently you can update the software on your buds plus you can find your buds if you (are careless enough to) lose one or both in your home. Enjoying the deep rich base I decided to compare with the Soundpeats Truengine which cost less than £40 against the £155 I paid for these Bose buds, the Soundpeats stacked up well and there really is very little in it hence my score on sound quality vs price. In other words, you are not getting much more bang for your buck by spending so much more on these. That said, they do sound good and I am enjoying using them. I would be just as happy to carry the SoundPeats with me in their tiny case as opposed to the bulkiness of these Bose buds. The volume controls are really stiff and need a bit of force, apparently, according to online reviews I watched before buying, this is a known issue. Also the volume is restricted so they won’t go really loud - I’ll thank them when I’m 70 and can hear my grandkids ! Tried making a couple of calls to my voicemail to check both the hearing and spoken quality of these buds and I compared them with the SoundPeats. The mobile phone I’m using is an iPhone XS, if you want to know what sort of equipment I’m using. The result was quite good actually, listening to my outgoing message on my answerphone wearing the Bose buds sounds quite muffled but when I played back the message I had left for myself it was crystal clear. Whereas with the SoundPeats it was the reverse. Wearing them now. Enjoying the sound but can just as easily be wearing the SoundPeats. One big difference - these are more comfy! 1 week into owning these buds I found the controls stop responding. Sometimes it might be the skip to next track buttons not working (a double press) or another time it will be pause not working and so on... The workaround is to reset to factory settings & start over. But when you’ve had to do this a few times in a week it is not so great anymore. I have to say, the buds I purchased at a fraction of the price did not have any issues at all!! Spoke to Austin in Bose Tech Support (no longer in UK), Austin was keen to tell me he also owned the same earbuds. He even had the same iPhone. Austin says his never do that. Austin went on to helpfully tell me these earbuds are supposed to work with iPhone - oddly that might have been a reason I bought them. I found Austin’s banter to be really useful for checking the call quality but sadly Austin was of little use to me and certainly had no idea how to resolve the problem so I ended the call before we moved on to his pets. I didn’t need somebody to sell me what I already bought - I needed a solution and Austin didn’t have one and neither apparently does Bose! If this continues its back for a refund and try the Beats Powerbeats Pro that cost a bit more but apparently are worth it.

I read lots of reviews including the negative points and decided to go for it and buy these. I already own a pair of soundsport wireless (which have a wire between the two buds) and when working out or running the wire irritates me slightly although the sound is fantastic so i was think about completely wire free. So back to the new wire free pair. I’m so glad that I decided to ignore the concerns around dropping out (sound/connection) and also actually falling out of the ear. If you put them in your ear you have to turn them towards the back of your head which has the effect of locking the stay hear tip into the “shell” of your ear! Brilliant - they don’t budge at all and you almost forget they are there. If they fall out, you haven’t read the instructions and followed this simple technique. I have had no such problems and I use them every day without fail at the gym. I’m usually there for around 90 mins and haven’t once been irritated by sound, quality, sensitivity, noise block from other sounds. The charging case re-charges the pods/buds to 90 or 100% when you finish your worklut and at the moment I am only having to plug in the charging case 1nignt per week. These are effortless. The sound quality is great and I listen to all sorts of music, I am now even hearing detail in the arrangement that I hadn’t noticed before. Whether that be house, pop, classical, or just random Spotify or amazon music. I’m really pleased! Take time to set them up properly and allow firmware updates etc when you first connect to your device. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I tried a friends apple AirPods and didn’t like them as much for the gym, but for other general use I would perhaps use the AirPods instead. Example On a train/flight etc simply because the apple AirPods do look better when not in use for exercise.

Por fin ha acabado mi peregrinaje por los auriculares true wireless. He comprado los Jaybird Run, Airpods y por fin en cuanto han llegado a España, la que hubiera sido mi primera elección, Bose. La única duda que me ofrecían era si eran capaces de llevar su audio al wireless y la conectividad. Resultado, ambos aspectos son sobresalientes. En calidad de audio están a la altura de marca, suavidad, equilibrio en cualquier volumen y gran riqueza en los matices del sonido. Son el equilibro en la música, si te gustan los graves potentes, tendrás mejores opciones. Los Airpods están decentes en el sonido por su equilibrio, y los Bose son los Airpods con calidad de sonido maxima. Y digo que son los Airpods porque su conectividad es similar, perfecta. En 3 semanas de uso, solo un triste microcorte entre los cascos, como los apple. Da igual donde lleves el móvil, por la calle no se cortan nunca (no como los Jaybird, eran cortes continuos solo con girar la cabeza, increíble en un producto de un precio igual a este). Actualizaciones de firewire casi semanales solo conectando la app del móvil. Esta app es la única pega (junto al tamaño )que les pongo frente a Jaybird, no permite ecualizar, lo cual es una pena (a ver si nos ponemos las pilas los desarrolladores). El tamaño es otra pega, son voluminosos, puestos quedan grandísimos, como dos champiñones. Eso si, cómodos y firmes en la sujeción como ellos solos. Pero a cambio te dan control de volumen, cosa que ningún otro te da, junto al normal botón multifuncion. El uso de estos botones de volumen había leído que es incómodo, pero a mi no me lo parece si se usa bien. Si los aprietas solo con el índice desde arriba, obviamente se mueve el auricular porque están duros (ya que los auriculares son a prueba de agua). Pero si pulsas el botón utilizando tu pinza manual (el indice para pulsar y el pulgar debajo para sujetar) funcionan a la perfeccion. Por eso creo que el tamaño mayor del auricular es necesario. Todo esto hace que el estuche para cargarlos sean casi 3 veces más gran que el de los Airpods, demasiado. El estuche ofrece 5 cargas, tiene un indicador de carga de 5 leds y ella apertura es segura, no se abre solo y te conecta sin querer cuando lo llevas en el bolsillo (otra pega importante de los Jaybird) Pros: Calidad de sonido. Conectividad. Contras: Apliacion con pocas funciones, tamaño demasiado grande. Recomiendo la compra al 100%, Si, son estos, son los mejores.

This Product is Good but it looks not new because it's already open. And no plastic cover for bose charging case... Plastic from the extra air bud ws pierce by sharp or something

First of all, I would like to tell you people can buy this product without any hesitation, also I agreed it’s quite a little bit costly than another true wireless headphone. But I guarantee you my friends once you buy this headphone, definitely you will be love/fann of this balancing sound with superb bass and real tutor treble, One thing I feel when I set inside my both the earbud more than 1 hrs, I can feel some pain in my ear. so I can’t listen to the song or watching a movie for not more than 1 hrs. ( This happens with me I think so it’s may not be happen with you bose sound lover friends) I listen so many different types of earbuds but as compared bose, my all ratings are given below:- Packaging:- 5/5 ( Royal package by bose) Sound:- 5/5 (unbelievable) Bass:- 5/5( Amazing) The balance between both earbud:- 5/5 ( You can feel like 5.1 with Dolby, especially when you watch a movie) treble:- 5/5 ( Real tutor no any extra tutor you can feel after listen to the song) Connectivity:- 5/5 ( within the range which is given in manual, it’s work smoothly no any disturbance in MP3 songs, no cracking, no frequent connect or disconnect while you walk from 1 room to another room when your phone is connected with Bluetooth ) portability:- 3.5/5 ( If I talk about carrying or portability, its look pretty big in size, especially when you keep it inside your pant/jeans pocket. It’s supposed to manage with a little bit of small size while manufacturing, but it looks so nice, I managed) Charging:- 4/5 ( I will not give 5/5 cause when you are spending approximately ₹19000/- the company should give at least a travel charger with suitable volt and ampere as same require. So it’s a suggestion from my side only, plz give a specific require volt and ampere adaptor for charging the case ) Charging time:- 5/5 ( Case will fully charge in 1.5 hrs with 2.4Amp adaptor. And 2.5 hrs in 1.2 Amp adaptor) Backup:- 5/5 ( Superb battery backup you no need to charge within 3-4 days. If you daily use nearly about 3hrs) Bose Connect app features:- 4/5 ( Great features in-app of “ Find my buds” L&R both. The battery percentage is there in its case. it’s supposed to remain a time charge indicator of headphone. And customized many more with a simple guideline on how to use features.) Video playback:- 4/5 ( when I watch a movie the sound and video lag of synchronization. It’s happen all headphone not only bose. I tried so many headphones it’s a Manageable no issue or no any complaint with Bose) Swat/ waterproof:- 5/5 (As per the company statement given IPX4 to prevent sweat or water. I will not or never try in water for testing. So on my side I never face this type of situation on rain or sweat.) This was my experience with Bose soundsport free truly wireless headphone. Overall Experience the BOSE will always BOSS in sound. You, people, buy and feel the upgraded and one step ahead sound of this ERA in Bluetooth connectivity. Thanking you...😊

Cuffie dalla qualità del suono fantastica, con leggera enfasi dei bassi. L'archetto fornito di varie dimensioni le aggancia graniticamente all'orecchio e le rende comodissime, nonostante siano abbastanza grandi rispetto ad altre cuffie rivali risultano molto leggere e una volta indossate sembrerà di non averle. Non sono completamente in-ear, cosa che personalmente preferisco, il che non le rende molto insonorizzate, però diciamo che con volume cuffia e telefono all'80%, (cosa che facevo anche con le precedenti cuffie) in palestra che è un ambiente rumoroso non sento l'ambiente esterno. L'applicazione dedicata è ben fatta e se collegate permette di ritrovare le cuffie facendogli emettere un suono, inoltre si può controllare Spotify e i vari lettori multimediali direttamente da lì. I tasti sulla cuffia sono fisici e un po' duri, forse un po' difficili da premere mentre si corre. Batteria praticamente infinita, sono ad un mese di utilizzo e di solito dopo 2 ore di allenamento in palestra sono al 70% in più la custodia tiene due cariche complete, solitamente mi durano 3/4 allenamenti prima di doverle caricare. Una menzione va al problema di delay tra audio-video, problema "risolto" via software, ho cambiato telefono da poco e mentre sul mio vecchio Honor 10 il software faceva andare a scatti il video per tenere l'audio in Sync, (cosa forse anche più fastidiosa del problema originale) sul nuovo mi 9t pro il problema è magicamente sparito e funzionano alla perfezione. Penso quindi che dipenda da quanto performante è il telefono utilizzato. In ogni caso io le utilizzo principalmente per palestra e corsa e sono FANTASTICHE.

I read a lot of reviews and compared a lot of products before buying these. I am 100% sure its the best that I have bought. Few concerns about people not being able to decide. 1. Sound quality is at par with a bose over-ear headphone such as QC 35. It truly is. I own both and so can tell. So rest assured in that regard. 2. Lot of remarks about getting disconnected and not being able to pair. Most reviews pointing those issue out are old. New updates on the firmware (mine was pre-installed with it) seem to have taken care of it. I have had no issue using multiple devices. 3. Reviews comparing and complainign about range. I have had no issue or drop even after being away from my phone behind 2 different rooms and 2 set of closed doors. 4. The fit is so good. Bose gives 3 pairs (s,m,l) of earpieces which makes the fit so good that it blocks most of the sound out. For me this was not a priority anyways as i wanted to hear a bit of ambient noise in the gym and outdoor sports where i want to be aware of the surroundings. With higher (50+%) volumes I cant even here the my own treadmill thumps I make. 5. The design lets you do all kinds of gym activities without the fear of the earpiece slipping out due to its design. So far it has not slipped out during chest presses, abs board exercises, running, etc. 6. Concerns about bass being too loud and mids being flats are absolutely untrue. Plus most apps like Spotify, etc have their own eq settings that you can tweak if you are an audiophile. Having said that the sound of these truely wireless headphones will blow you off regardless of whether you use any equalizers. 7. Weird looking gadget, protudes out of the ear too much.. etc etc. I don't see myself when i am wearing these and its not even a compromise you are making against the sound delivered in your ears. Its made my gym experience so much more fun and exciting. 8. The battery life is pretty good. I have not stretched it to its limits but with my use of 50-60 mins a day, i had to recharge the wireless case after 15-16 days which i have no issues with. The only issue i think are the buttons on the right earpiece. It feels pretty hard for a premium product and there is a slight bit of delay in response from those buttons. So a volume change from the button would probably have a half second delay which i personally don't think is a bit issue. Also, only the right earpiece is engaged for calls and announcements which gives a weird feeling when left earpiece sound just shuts down all of a sudden while hearing music and there is an incoming call. If you have the budget, and are looking for premium sound, its a no-brainer. If you are looking for a noise cancelling headphones to watch movies, there are better options, but if you are looking for a wireless sports headphone to wear in the gym, you should buy these. These are returnable on Amazon, so if you don't like them, you can always return, but believe me once you hear the sound out of these, all your concerns will melt away. From me its a triple major go-for-it ! Note: Ensure that your city has a BOSE authorized service center. Even though amazon officially partners with appario retail (the seller on amazon), if these stop working after the return window is closed, local bose service centers will give you full support on amazon's invoice and warranty certificate during the warranty period.
