The flavor is about average. Unfortunately, the gristle in this brand is consistently a problem. I ordered a two-pack and found throughout, that no piece was really free of gristle in either pack. Secondly, and exacerbating the first point, many of the slices are really too thick to meet true biltong standards. I did give it three stars for positive customer service. I wrote and explained my evaluation of the product. They provided a second shipment free of charge.
