This is the set up I am using this with so that you have an Idea of how it works and if it would work for you. HP Zenbook with Docking Station & a zoomstorm PC each connected to the KVM with the supplied cable that has a USB, 3.5mm Audio jack and VGA adapter then a Dell monitor connected to the KVM. Into the KVM I have connected a Logitech Unifying receiver for the MK520 Combo, doing it this way leaves you with a spare USB port that you can use for a USB stick or any other peripheral that you would like to connect, It also has a 3.5mm audio port which you can either plug speakers or your heaphones into. You are also supplied a little switch that plugs into the KVM that you push to switch between devices which is a nice touch compared to the older KVM's I've used where you needed to select the device from the KVM box itself. Over all I think it is a very nice device that If needed I will buy another if I need to set up another desk in the same way, I would like to see some way to mount the device though & potentially some alternative colour options but that is just me being picky. So for the price of ~Β£30.00 if some one needs this setup I would highly recommend it the Belkin F1DG102U OmniView Switch KVM. Review: Poor quality remote with no software controller - I connected this switch to 2 Windows 7 64bit PCs without any problems. However, the remote control button is of cheap and poor quality plastic that will not last for long compared to the switch itself. If this button stops working, then I'd have to trash the whole switch. I tried to download the software controller from Belkin website to allow me to use keyboard keys but the software failed to recognise the switch on both PCs. I can't find any information on how to avoid the cheap remote and simply use the keyboard. This is why I can only it 1 star. It is upside down and the pin offset for the middle row is incorrect** A: Hi Fiona. I am assuming that you have a 15 pin male plug with three rows of 5 pins. The pin arrangement should be top and bottom rows to one side of the plug with the middle row to the other side giving a zig zag pattern to the pins. There is no right or wrong way up for the plug. All you should have to do is line the pins up on the plug to match the holes in the socket and insert same. My keyboard and mouse are wireless so I just plug the USB receiver into the mouse socket as normal. If you are using a wireless keyboard you may find as I have you will need to press the reset button on your keyboard when you change computers. Provided you have a standard 15 pin video connection from your docking station I can see no problem. The only tip I would suggest is to plan the layout of your equipment in advance.
