Hemline Sewing, Knitting & Button Gauge

Purchased this item several times. It is a very useful tool for many reasons especially hemming. The only downside is it’s flimsiness, hence the 4 stars.I have always been aware of this fact but it’s usefulness outweighs this shortcoming. This is probably why I have bought 3 of these to date. Handle the gauge with respect otherwise it will bend. I wish a manufacturer would make a sturdy metal gauge that will last. I’ve tried the plastic variations but they are not so good. In the meantime I will carry on with this one.

Could feel a couple of rough spots, but not rough enough to cause problems. The red marker has very sharp points. Would not use for very delicate fabrics but great for everything else.

A great idea for a gadget to help with measuring hemlines. Was disappointed at how feeble this was as is easily bent. After about half an hour of use the the marker gauge wouldn’t hold its position. A shame as the concept is a good one; it just needs to be sturdier. Was cheap though .

Really made sewing easier as I was struggling with other tools to measure the hems. Great delivery and packaging.

This is great for marking edges and hems and button holes, every sewist should have one.
