Works great, easy to install looks great

I bought the switch that doesn’t require a neutral. HOWEVER, connecting the neutral wire wasn’t optional in combination with my bathroom fan (it was stuck to “on” without the neutral wire, and none of the LED indicator lights functioned), and that’s okay because a neutral wire was available, and connecting it made all the difference. There’s green “off” LED illumination light… I didn’t expect it. It means the bathroom has a “just right” amount of illumination at night — helpful. You’ll need your own wire nuts to connect the switch — there are no push or screw terminals as with normal switches. Great product.

We replaced an old fashioned turn knob timer that didn't work very well and looked dated. This looks much more modern and works well. I like that it has the different times to choose from.

This is the first of these countdown timers I have installed. Now I don’t have to worry about the fan running all day in the upstairs bathroom. easy install. Reasonably priced.

The switch is fine. I got it to replace a regular paddle switch (got tired of finding the fan running for no reason). But should you choose this particular timer switch? there are two strikes against it. First, the space between the screw holes that secure the plate are just a hair more widely spaced than the decora switch plate holes. I don't know if this is a common manufacturing defect or something else, but it made installation a very finicky process, and imperfect. Second, when you push one of the buttons to turn the fan on or off, it responds with a bit of a delay. It's not like you just push the button and it turns on--some kind of relay has to engage or something--you have to hold the button for a couple seconds to get it to work. This is not a big deal, but I feel like a more responsive switch would be nicer. Okay, there is one good thing that was not clear from the product description. If you press and hold the top button, you can override the timer and have the fan stay on continuously. Some other switches have an "on and stay on" button in addition to the timer buttons. This switch also has that functionality, but without a button that invites thoughtless users to abuse it. You have to be purposeful in order to engage the fan without timed shutoff.

I replaced the exhaust fan in one of our bathrooms with a much quieter model, with the unintended consequence of leaving the fan on for long periods of time because we couldn't hear it from outside the room, so I bought one of these to allow us to run the fan long enough to remove the humidity (etc.) without it running needlessly for hours. It was an easy installation. I installed it with the neutral tied to ground, which is one of the features of this model, and I purchased a special cover plate because the switch it replaced (and the adjacent light switch) are standard toggles. I also purchased the light almond face plate to match the other components. I like how the LED follows the remaining time as the timer counts down, e.g., if I push 15 minutes, the LED will drop down to the 10 minute position after 5 minutes, etc., so I can see about how much time is left, and I can then push one of the other buttons if I want it to run for more or less time than that.

Great solution to be able to leave the exhaust fan on and not having to remember to turn it off before going downstairs. It was a bit of a pain to install, but that was more an issue of me figuring out the wiring in the box. Once I figured it out, it works like a charm. I like that the indicator light moves down the time scale to approximate how much time is left. As another reviewer mentioned the buttons are kinda flimsy and get a bit cockeyed if you don’t press them in the center, but it’s a minor OCD gripe lol. Overall I am very happy with this solution and hope it lasts.

I didn't realize the importance of using an exhaust fan when showering. I saw this timer in someone else's bathroom and thought it was a good purchase because I don't need to remember to turn it off. It was easy to install, I only wish it came in other colors. It is part of a double switch and the colors don't match.

I am so happy with the installation of these timers. They look great, they work exactly as they should, and I found them fairly easy to install - they took me about 15 minutes each. Leviton is a trusted brand so I appreciate the quality of the build. The green indicator LED is nice and the buttons don't feel cheap. My household tends to leave the fan on in the bathroom for long periods of time. This obviously wastes electricity but it also directs heated or cooled air out of the house needlessly. We purchased two different timers - one with shorter durations for our two-piece bathroom, and one with longer durations for our bathroom with the shower - and they are both working as expected to help prevent fans from running all day. Installation was very easy and the instructions were nice and clear. They give different wiring options for different wiring scenarios which is very helpful but if you're uncomfortable doing this yourself, an electrician should be able to wire these pretty quickly. They can be wired with or without a neutral wire which is also nice option for some homes.

Its very easy to install if you have a little bit of experience, works well and has a nice little light to show which setting its on, its a little large so if you have a jb with a lot of wires could be a little difficult to fit properly just takes a little extra time to neatly put everything in to place so they fit

I purchased this for the bathroom when we take showers. Set it and forget it. According to what I’ve seen online, you should have the fan running during your shower and 15 minutes after the shower to ensure all the humidity is out of the bathroom to prevent mold. This is great, so I don’t have to worry about coming back to the bathroom to turn off the fan.

Saves time, energy and money by turning off your devices like your bathroom fans so you don't have to. Great when it's on sale!
