The Red Cross - A History of this Remarkable International Movement in the Interest of Humanity

I purchased this book for research I am doing on nursing during the Civil War. I have only read parts of it, but it seems to be a good resource.

There is nothing like reading her own words to get a feel for the character, the personality of Clara Barton. Being able to search the text is a big bonus over paper copy. An excellent research resource spanning the early years of the Red Cross.
