Although not clearly stated in the description, this adapter converts a 2.5mm balanced headphone plug to a standard stereo 6.35mm headphone plug. Useful if you have a portable music player such as AK or similar and a hifi system or headphone amp with a standard socket and wish to use the same pair of headphones on both without a lot of faffing around. Does the job well and is nicely made with very positive connections. Does not appear to degrade sound quality at all. Highly recommended. Delivery was 9 days.

I got this to connect my Sennheiser HD58X to my Yamaha RX-V800 receiver and it works flawlessly. I have a 2.5mm balance jack so I needed exactly this to make it work. It's awesome and it has not white noise, so now I can listen to stuff without disturbing my sleeping wife. For the price is really good and comes with this lovely leather bag to save it. Seems pretty sturdy but we'll see with time.
