Tefal TG 8000 BBQ Family Electric Grill 2400 W

Firstly I have to say this is a grill not a BBQ I don't know why Amazon have put BBQ in description for the product. I didn't buy this from Amazon and therefore I didn't intend to review it but I feel my review would be helpful so here goes. I didn't set out to buy this we were in Costco when my husband noticed this and asked what I thought. Originally I said no because I've absolutely no where to put it but he said it could stay in the garage. I have a grill in my oven but I've never quite gotten the hang of this since I'm usually using it as an oven anyway. So we either dry fry or in the past we've used a George Forman grill which to be honest I've never particularly liked. So this grill made sense for us especially since my hubby wanted to grill some fish which I hate because it smells the house out so he said he'd use this in the garage (which wasn't great smell wise because it came through when he opened the door). He grilled the fish which he said was good and so we tried it again the next night. Now I'm vegetarian and he's obviously not so this worked well in that we could have a side each. He chose lamb steaks and I decided to try halloumi kebabs. I do a lot of these and normally I make up a thick marinade and brush it on but there was no point doing that on this grill because it would just burn on so I used chilli halloumi to give it flavour. My husband prefers his meat rare and so once the meat thermometer said it was done he took it off. While my kebabs were nice they were obviously not as nice as they are on the BBQ but then I didn't expect them to be but it's a good option for indoor cooking. The cooking is easy and the heat level is controllable and it cooks food evenly and well. I'm happy with our purchase and this is a product I feel we will use a lot. It's easy to use and easy to clean, the plates go in the dishwasher but we've just hand washed them each time.

Not a very good product. Dries the meat out completely. Flavour is not great - no bbq feel. Any marinade coating just burns out/ dries out.

On a acheté ce grill pour remplacer notre vieille plancha qui commençait à fatiguer et on voulait quelque chose de plus polyvalent. On est souvent nombreux à la maison le week-end, avec des goûts différents, et ce modèle a résolu pas mal de dilemmes ! ​Ce qui nous a tout de suite séduits, c'est la double surface avec les deux thermostats indépendants. C'est tout simplement génial. Fini les disputes : je peux faire griller les merguez et les poivrons à feu vif d'un côté, pendant que ma femme fait dorer doucement les légumes plus délicats de l'autre, sans que les saveurs ne se mélangent. La plaque "grill" marque bien la viande. ​La montée en température est rapide pour un appareil de cette taille, et la chaleur est bien répartie sur toute la surface. On peut vraiment cuisiner pour 6 à 8 personnes sans que les derniers servis ne mangent froid. Le nettoyage est aussi un gros point fort. Les plaques s'enlèvent très facilement et passent au lave-vaisselle, et le bac récupérateur de graisse fait très bien son travail. ​Le seul petit bémol, c'est sa taille. Forcément, qui dit grande surface de cuisson, dit appareil assez imposant. Il faut prévoir une place conséquente pour le ranger. Mais honnêtement, pour la convivialité et la qualité de cuisson qu'il apporte, on lui pardonne volontiers son encombrement. C'est un excellent produit, robuste et bien pensé pour les repas de famille ou entre amis.

Seit nunmehr 8 Monaten haben wir diesen Grill und ich denke mit der jetzt schon langen und vor allem auch häufigen Nutzung, kann man sich ein fundiertes Urteil erlauben. Dazu kann ich nur sagen, dieser Grill ist mit Abstand der Beste den wir jemals hatten und grillen macht nun noch mehr Spaß. Das liegt nicht nur am fantastischen Grillergebnis, sondern auch für die durchdachte Konstruktion, die das leidige Reinigen nach Nutzung zum Kinderspiel macht. Alle Teile, die mit Fett in Berührung kommen, passen anstandslos in jeden normalen Geschirrspüler und werden auch super sauber wenn man zeitnah reinigt. Fettrückstände oder klebrige Oberflächen gibt es einfach nicht mehr und unser Grill sieht heute noch aus wie am ersten Tag. Auch die separate Regelung beider Platten ist ein großer Vorteil für das unterschiedliche Grillgut. Gemüse usw. kann auf diese Weise sehr schonend gegrillt werden und die Wärmeverteilung ist total gleichmäßig. Was auch begeistern kann, ist, dass der Grill durchaus auch innen genutzt werden kann, da nur sehr wenig Rauch entsteht. Unter einer einigermaßen guten Dunstabzugshaube kann man also auch bedenkenlos in der schlechten Jahreszeit im Haus grillen ohne die Rauchmelder auszulösen 😉 Das liegt konstruktiv daran, dass der Grill ähnlich wie eine Pfanne funktioniert und das herabtropfende Fett nicht auf Heizstäbe gelangt, sondern in der Auffangschale landet. Es wird daher auch kein Fett entzündet und Flammen können nicht entstehen. Wer auf Qualm und verräucherten Geschmack steht, wird bei diesem Grill daher nicht auf seine Kosten kommen... 🤷‍♂️ Aus unserer Sicht aber, ist dieser Grill wirklich fantastisch und wir würden ihn immer wieder kaufen. Wer jetzt noch über den Preis stolpert.....ja, er ist nicht billig, aber jeden Cent wert! So gesehen, bedenkenlos empfehlenswert für jeglichen Grillgenuss! 👍
