Just what I was looking for!
I LOVE THIS FOOTREST! I have used this little footrest for several years now. In my job I sit all day, but I am in different rooms throughout the day, so I have to have a footrest that is portable and easy to carry around. This footrest is perfect. It's made of lightweight plastic so it barely adds any weight to my bag. It takes about one second to open it up, and a second to close it and stash it. When the footrest is set up it is roughly the size of a rectangle tissue box. That doesn't seem like much, but it is just enough to take the pressure off my back. I have used it in the doctor's office when there is a long wait, on airplanes, in workshops, and regularly at work. The only thing that could be improved on is the grip on the feet. There is none. Therefore, with the footrest being plastic, it tends to slip on tile floors. I did apply some tape to the edge to give it a bit of traction. However, that is so minor that it's hardly worth mentioning, and did not cause me to give less that 5 stars. If you have problems with your back, this might be the best purchase you ever made.

Where has this foot rest been all my life?
I’m 5’2 and have difficulty sitting in some chairs so my husband bought this for me for Christmas. I love it!!! It is so well-designed, sturdy, and easy-to-use. I started bringing it to Bible study and two of the other petite women in the group admired it so I bought 2 more as gifts for them. One of the women is on the heavy side and it supports her well, and she’s looking forward to using it on her long flight next month. If I had to make one tiny recommendation, it would be to make the “feet” non-skid, especially now that everyone has hardwood floors. The foot rest doesn’t slip at all when your knees are at 90-degree angles (which is where good posture says they’re supposed to be, right?), but sometimes I like to have my feet a little in front of me, so I stuck on a few of those picture frame bumpers (if you use the very thin ones, you can keep them attached and the foot rest will still close properly, otherwise you’d have to pull them off every time you stored it) and that did the trick. Great product!!!

Great for use at work
It wobbles a little but I am confident it won't fall over (and hasn't yet) because of the braces on the inside of the "legs". I am considering putting some grippy tape on the bottle as it tends to slide a lot on carpet. I love it, though, and it helps a lot. I get asked all the time what it is and why I have it but that doesn't bother me as much as my back and leg pain did! (I'm 5'1" and the chairs are not made for me). I use this in a meeting room where the space is shared and very cramped. It is nice because when I leave I fold it up and set it on the computer tower. It is out of the way and does not take up any extra space.

Comfort for my back
I had my foot rest for years and recently misplaced it. I was in so much discomfort sitting at my desk all day at work without it, until I knew I needed to reorder another one. What a relief it had on my back as well as my posture. It's just enough height to prop my feet up under my desk. Not to mention I can take it with me just by folding it and sticking it in my purse. I had back surgery a few years back and this little miracle worker is such a joy to have. It takes the strain off my back from sitting all day. It doesn't take up much room under my desk. I even take it with me when I go to the doctor's office, it really helps with those long waits. I'll never be without it again, and if I happen to find the other one that was misplaced, then it would be perfect because I would have 2 of them in case I misplace one again. Well worth the money at a reasonable price.

Easy to use during long distance flights
I've used this footrest for 3-4 trips now, twice for long, overseas trips, and I am very pleased with it. I'm short, so sitting for any length of time puts pressure on my lower back and the backs of my legs, cutting off circulation. Elevating my feet just a few inches makes all the difference between being miserable and being reasonably comfortable. At least, as comfortable as you can be in Economy class airline seats. My only complaint with this footrest is that it collapses fairly easily if I don't move my feet just right, and trying to reposition it without using my hands just about ensures it will collapse. But once I got used to its quirks, it's just fine. I store it in the side zip pocket of my small carry-on, so it's convenient to get to and put away. I recommend this item to other travelers.

Excellent to promote good posture in short people!
Being 4' 8 1/2" (yes that extra half inch counts!), this folding footrest has solved many of my posture issues! I habitually tuck my feet up under me so they don't have to dangle. Due to this I have a chronically tight back and twist that causes ongoing pain. My other option is to tuck my feet under me which causes pins and needles! I didn't have huge expectations for this item, but it has really surprised me. It's light and compact enough to fit into my small backpack style handbag, and I use it at the movies, theatre shows, long dinners and so on. I also slip it under my desk and it encourages me to sit with a straight back when working long hours. It takes seconds to assemble/disassemble and I can usually do it without anyone really taking notice. I have just travelled internationally and decided it's so useful that I packed it in my suitcase. Would highly recommend.

This product is better than most
This product is better than most, because it is small and folds to a size that easily fits into a laptop bag for use on the plane. Many other reviewers mention that it's so small that they can't really get both feet on it - and it is quite small but I can fit both feet on it okay (not well, but it is possible). The main issue I have with this product is that the metal thingies that hold it up when unfolded are not long enough, and the thing collapses (noisily and violently, I might add) as soon as you put weight on it. I have added some of my own engineering to it to make it usable for me, but how this ever made it past any kind of quality control is beyond me.
