Perfect for Marantz/Denon Owners or Any Device with an IR Flasher Input
This IR repeater kit is exactly what I was looking for! If you own a Marantz or Denon receiver/processor—or any AV equipment with an "IR Flasher In" 3.5mm port—this is the perfect solution. I'm using it with a Marantz 8805 AVP, and it’s working flawlessly. You’ll also need a male-to-male 3.5mm TRS (or TS) cable. Additionally, if you plan to place the repeater near your receiver, processor, or rack, you might need a TRS 3.5mm extension cable (male to female) for flexibility.I did not need any of the IR blasters this IR repeater comes with, since my unit has an IR input jack.I recommend this product for its reliability and ease of use.

Great IR repeater for home AV system
I have a SofaBaton universal remote which works great as far as features, and controls. However, it seems to have a pretty weak IR transmit LED, and some devices don't respond so great to it. I purchased this booster to overcome the weakness of the remote itself. The individual LED's that attach to the separate pieces of equipment don't really seem to adhere well, but the cable is really long so you can use them with a pretty large console that spreads your equipment out. The main receiver sensor that actually "sees" your remote signal was not well put together. It seems a really cheaply made piece, but I put a dot of glue on it so the housing won't open, and it works flawlessly.Once put together, I found that leaving the devices facing forward led to unreliable operation. You get best performance when you block external signal from the remote getting to the devices. If you are buying this unit in order to hide all your equipment, and just have the external main sensor visible that is a great application. In my case, my AV console has an open front, so I just put some small pieces of dark paper over the LED sensor areas. That blocks the remote from getting signal directly to the device, and ONLY the signal from the booster is triggering any functions. A nice feature is that when you try to trigger a device, the main sensor has an LED that blinks to confirm an IR signal is getting there.Once I had things properly configured, I was able to reliably use the remote a good 20 feet away from the console. I am extremely happy with the end result.

Junk
Junk everything is made very cheaply. The wire is super thin for extending the IR. The receiver does not work. The mini Jack sports break if you put any pressure on.

Perfect solution for remote control of behind-the-wall components in a home theater!
I had been looking for a multi-control IR blaster for some time after completing the build of my dream home theater. I had a wireless IR blaster, but it seemed inconsistent in its responsiveness. The Ensigear appeared to have everything I needed, but I did have to purchase a longer cable to connect the receiver to the module (an inexpensive extension cable). Set-up took less than 5 minutes once I figured out how everything would be arranged in my media closet. The responsiveness is instantaneous-almost faster than if there was no repeater at all! The 6 slots for additional IR sensors ensures that I can expand its use as time goes on (I only need 3 at the current time), but the receiver comes with all of the sensors needed to control 6 separate devices in a media closet. Highly recommended!

Delicate construction leads to mechanical failure
The system worked well for a week until I needed to disconnect the IR-in cable to relocate it.The internal jack broke away with the cable. Needless to say that was the end of the unit. This could have been a bad solder job as the general reviews are pretty good.

Compact and well designed
I bought this kit after trying a cheaper kit that burned out on the second use. This one I am very happy with. Comes with everything you need in the box. The little converter box is small enough to be mounted anywhere. It can be powered by either the included "wall wort" power cord, or can be hardwired into a 12 volt power like you would find in an RV or camper. The receiver is well designed and can be mounted vertically or horizontal, and has a little raceway built in for the cord so it will lay flat against whatever you adhere it to. There is an LED in the receiver too so you can tell when it is receiving commands from your remote. There's no constant power light either, which for me is ok. Theres no obnoxious light that is on when you're trying to sleep. The cords are nice and small in diameter and don't take up much room in a raceway, but yet long enough to reach whatever you need to control. The adhesive pads are nice and strong, but feel like they can be removed without damaging the surface. I have not tried to remove anything yet however, so this is speculative.Happy with the purchase and recommend this for any component that is stored in a cabinet and controlled via IR, whether that is in a camper, or your home entertainment center.
