This is a melamine plate of 25cm diameter however the lip is already 4cm which leaves you with a bottom of 16cm only. I found my fist much bigger than the area where i should place my carbohydrates, although i understand that it is a diet plate so I wasn't expecting a huge space unfortunately. The quality seems decent with cute images for each section but cannot be used in the microwave if you want to rewarm your food in it. I wouldn't repurchase for the current price of £8.99.

🥕 This is a neat portion control plate in melamine. The plate is divided up into four quadrants, showing a desirable amount of each of the meal constituents, with 50% for vegetables and fruit, 25% for protein, and 25% for carbohydrates such as potatoes.🥬 The plate is all about education as well as looking attractive, and although I am easily able to control portions by sight in that way, the plate does guilt you into compliance when the will is weak. I also noticed that the plate seems a little smaller than the normal-size dinner plate, at least in my household. This is a good feature in my book, and therefore, so far, so good.🍅 The only slight negative is that the care instructions embossed on the back ask for the plate to only be placed in the top rack of the dishwasher, even though the plate is dishwasher-friendly. Most top racks that I have encountered are too shallow for the plate to be upright, so the plate can only be laid flat, taking up too much room. It is probably best to just wash by hand.🌽 Otherwise, the plate is a really good idea, especially for someone keen on portion control. It has an attractive design with all the examples of where different foods go printed on the front, and there is a generous lip to the plate. ✔️

If you need assistance with portion control then this is the product for you. I have noticed stomach has shrunk since using this. I feel fuller quicker and the emphasis with this plate is to increase fibre. Now I don’t use anything else and always eat my veggies first and by the time I reach for the carbs and protein I am full. So buy it you won’t regret it
