Overall for otherwise a costly fix to find a replacement a simple spindle seemed to fit perfectly. Very hard to find the right sizes now. Was a bit worried with it being 120mm but I think there's enough room to have worked with... Worthwhile to buy on the side of other kits don't provide adequate fittings.

Almost perfect.
Almost a perfect solution for my sons door a fraction long so a little play in the door handle but I can try to trim it down if I need to but at the price it's well worth the purchase after the old spindle broke as it was about 20 years old.

Great spindle but the screws weren’t long enough
Just the job. Be aware that if you buy the white mortise door handles the button head screws supplied with this product aren’t long enough to reach the spindle and they stand proud of the handle collar. I bought M5 countersunk machine screws at 12mm length to reach and be flush with the handle.

Great Product
Bought to fix a ceramic door handle that had been driving me mad for years! The self tapping screws in the spindle kept coming loose. This worked well after I had cut it down. One little issue I found was that the brass screws fit nicely into the holes at each end (which is how they arrived) , but not that well in all the other screw holes. It needed a bit of force to get them screwed in and I was concerned about losing the thread. But they're in now and I don't think they'll come out in a hurry!

The part to fit the job…
I snapped the doorknob off an ancient kitchen door. I remember when you could just pop out to the local ironmonger’s and get a replacement shaft. Those were the days. This part was delivered quickly and without hassle. It fitted exactly and the supplied machine screws were far better than the ones I removed. I’m still a bit sad, but my door works now. It’s a good thing we have specialist online retailers to fall back on, and Amazon to put us in touch with them…
