I initially thought that this would be a temporary problem that would go away after a couple of days but the opposite proved to be the case, and after a week I found myself having a sore throat from the acrid smell coming from the unit. I contacted the manufacturer who were very easy to deal with and a replacement unit was supplied which unfortunately had the same problem.So whilst I can say the UPS works perfectly, I would only recommend it to be installed into a room that is not normally occupied.
