More about heroine than hero
Other reviewers complained about a previous book in this series being more about the heroine than the hero but this one is much worse. The heroine in this story is Leila, a model and recovering anorexic. The majority of the story is about her inner turmoil about a miscarriage, having more babies, gaining weight and losing her identity. It isn't that Leila is a bad character, she's not, but this story is much more about her than about Rafael and the Wolfe siblings. Their marriage is on shaky ground because they both work all time and go for months without seeing each other. They really lead very separate lives, he bought a farm in Brazil he never told her about and she moved without him knowing. Now they're having to decide what's really important and work together to have the close loving family they both want. Both the characters were likable although Rafael was very demanding and controlling near the end of the story. The reader does learn about his childhood as the Wolfe bastard child and about his relationship with Jacob in particular. It was a decent read and a nice edition to the Wolfe series but not my favorite of the siblings.

The annoying wife
Spoiler alert!! I know Rafael was bossy about Leila and the work thing, but Leila was annoying. I didn't like Leila's character she came off as a brat. I cannot believe Rafael let her get away with not telling him about a miscarrage she had months ago. When he did kind of get mad about it, she basically said it's all in the past. Then even though she's high risk, she still wanted to model. And in her first modeling session back she ends up staying in the heat too long and going to the hospital.Common sense would tell her to take it easy. Rafael had a right to try to keep her on the lock down, because she goes too far into modeling perfection and doesn't take care of herself. I also didn't like that both Leila and Rafael weren't truly in a marriage; it felt like they were a couple in a seperation. They also didn't tell each other about their childhoods. For a couple so much in love it felt like they had just met each other.

The Trophy Wife
I liked the premise of the story, but unfortunately the story drag. I really enjoy reading about the point of view of both hero and heroine, but in this book there was too much of it, which lead to repetion of thoughts over and over again, which lead to some boring passages. Also the title was a little misleading. Hero was around the same age as the heroine, just as gorgeous and wealthy and a celebrity (in his field) in his own right. He could of well being called a "Trophy Husband" as well.
