Review: Sub c nicads perfect replacements. - New and perfect. These Ni-Cad cells fit a B&D rechargable power screwdriver, it uses 5 cells in series. The tabs made most of the soldering easy, 1 cell is off angle, an easy solve. With occasional use they go a month or more between charges. Nice also with exact nicads in a nicad application, I use the same charger.
Review: Perfect DIY fix for my rechargeable hand vacuum - My trusted rechargeable brand-name hand vacuum's NiCd batteries were giving up after over five years of sporadic use. Couldn't find replacement battery packs, thus I purchased these sub-C NiCd tabbed cells and made my own replacement pack. So far they revived my vacuum to as-new condition. The initial charge cycle took 18 hours (as expected considering the cell capacity and charger current rating). Just make sure you use the original NiCd charger - do not mix these up with NiMH cells or chargers! If you are not afraid of building your own battery pack, these NiCd cells are a perfect solution to fix your older appliances. ( I also ordered 85mm battery pack heat shrink tubing to securely contain and insulate the packs - the blue tubing that you will find under this search term works perfectly for these size cells.)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Will it fit!

The batteries are very good, at least so far. I've only had them in my drill for about two weeks. I don't have an electronic spot welder and had to use a simple pencil solder iron. It was very convenient to to have the solder strips already on the batteries. However, when you start lining up the batteries to fit into the case, you will find that the direction the solder strips aren't facing in the needed direction. If you set up the top side of the batteries, the bottoms don't line up to be soldered to the adjacent battery. You end up having to fold the strips somewhat to connect them. I'm getting ready to order some more batteries and I will try to get them without soldering strips. I have already ordered the strips separately for my other battery pack. Also, make sure you have a good soldering iron with a good tip. Do some research on U-tube as to how to tin your tip and make the solder connection on the battery. The other problem I had was they didn't fit height wise. Using an electronic soldering tool keeps the height of the batteries at a minimum. When you solder with an iron, the "drops" of solder build up the height of the battery, top and bottom. You have to be very judicious when doing your soldering. I had to resolder some of my connections to "flatten" the solder. The top of the battery pack doesn't fit exactly on the bottom of the case. But I got it to work. You may decide to simply replace the battery pack .
