Great Vessel
I recently bought a nice water filtration system which has allowed me to completely ditch plastic water bottles. I wanted a replacement for my normal 1L glass mug and found the 40oz Iron Flask. True to its description, this insulated mug does a great job at keeping cold liquids cold. I haven't tried with hot. If I pour refrigerator-cold water into this mug in the morning, it will still be at the low end of cold into cool in the evening. I can imagine even if I had the same water in their for an entire day, it would still be cool. I prefer my water ice cold, so this mug works perfectly for me since the water never lasts long. The mug comes with 2 lids. One has a hatch lid for sipping, and the other a simple hole for a straw (2 straws are included). My wife has gone through +10 water bottles over the years and she ditched her newest fave for this one after seeing how simple the lids are for cleaning and use. Another great aspect of this mug is the weight. Even completely full, this mug is very well balanced and easy to carry for both my wife and I. These mugs look cool too. I chose the black with white speckled and my wife chose the blue/dark blue gradient. Both have a great look and feel. The coating isn't rough at all. I would feel zero shame in bringing one of these around while running errands. Overall this mug exceeded our expectations and is highly recommended!

Great Quality
Love the color! I own this in several sizes and feel the quality is excellent. This keeps things cold for over 24 hours - it's amazing. I gets compliments on it all the time. I love that it comes with two different lids for versatility. I typically use the lid for the straw and find it barely leaks if tipped over. I carry this with me everywhere I go.

LOVE
My new favorite cups...I bought two of them. The purple/blue gradation color is gorgeous! Great size, fits in my car cup holder and holds a generous amount of liquid. Keeps ice and drinks cold for over a full day (one time I filled it up with ice and water in the early am, then came home and put it down and left it there overnight and didn't open it up again until the following evening, and there was still ice!). I appreciate the rubber bottom, which keeps it from sliding around or making noise when I put it down. I like the two lid options, both have good functionality. The straw lid seals around the straw quite well. The handle is very convenient. I only wish the company sold replacement lids and straws separately.

Amazing cups and fantastic customer service
I love Iron Flask Copilot cups! I like them even better than my expensive Stanley cups, and I find the Iron Flask cups keep my cold drinks cold longer than my Stanley. I can put ice in it in the morning and the ice is still there all day. The price is great and the quality is spot on. I’m a vet tech and I call my cup my “emotional support cup.” Even other techs I work with have bought them. Their color options are great as well! Their customer service is amazing as well. The cup I just purchased had an issue with one of the lids. I contacted them and they quickly responded to address the issue. Out of all of the Iron Flask cups I have, this cup was the only one I’ve had any issues with and they quickly helped me out with it. Highly recommended!

Good for its price
Had it for a week or two. Not bad for the price. Hand wash only but just a simple dish soap rince is enough to clean it. Lid quality is okay, so far it doesn’t leak we will see in the future. It keeps the drink cold or hot for a long time, like overnight long time. It is sturdy but doesn’t balance itself too well and falls on its side quite a bit. Good thing it doesn’t leak so far lol

Hitting my water goals finally
I’ve had for a week and my water intake has already tripled. Who knew all I needed was a cute bottle to take everywhere. I’ve only had washed but the parts are easy to disassemble and reassemble. It takes some elbow grease to put back which I like , I want it to be as leak resistant as possible. I get compliments all the time. I’m a hot water drinker and it definitely keeps the liquids hot for hours. Not that they normally last that long. Love that it has different lids and I use both interchangeably although the straw lid gets the most use. Great price since other brands easily charge double. Will probably get another for work so I don’t have to take this one with me. Absolutely adore that it fits in the cup holder of my 2018 Buick.

Great for the gym
This tumbler is GREAT with the screw on lid. If it spills over very little comes out so an easy cleanup if that happens. It keeps my hot tea hot and my cold drinks cool. No funny metal taste. Get a straw brush cleaner to keep it fresh. Fits well in my vehicles cup holder. I have the 40 oz and it holds 4 cups liquid plus ice. I had to throw out my last tumbler because it had the type of lid that just pushed on - no screw down. It was a disaster in the gym and the second time it spewed protein shake on the gym floor I promptly threw it in the trash.

The feeling of “I found a better mug, but due to other reasons, I’ll have to settle for this.”
I bought this mug to replace a 50 oz Reduce mug I had used for almost 6 years. The reason was just because I was tired of dealing with the plastic bands that are part of the handle. I prefer the wider, not-so-tall size of the Reduce mug, but I was willing to give this a try. Does it keep iced soda as cold and for as long as the Reduce mug? I don’t know, I haven’t tested how long it lasts, but it at least lasts long enough for my actual usage. So it’s fine. The handle is a little thinner than the other mug, but it seems enough for me to “just get used to it.” So far, it doesn’t seem uncomfortable. The black coating does look nice, but it’s already getting scratched by a plastic cup holder. So that is pretty disappointing. But worst part is the lid. Having used Bubba Kegs in the past, I’ve since grown to hate flip top lids. It’s a nightmare to clean around the hinge (where the flip top meets the lid). Sure, maybe you can get to the visible parts with a brush or a toothpick, but the not-so-visible part requires you to remove the flip portion to clean inside where the hing sits. I was able to bend the lid for the Bubba Kegs to pop out those pieces, but the Iron Flask lids doesn’t appear to allow it. While I understand the flip top needs to be snug to avoid popping open and spewing the liquid all over the place if the mug falls over, it’s far too snug for me to open with one hand while I’m trying to drive. The only option there is to leave it partially or completely open, which defeats the whole “leakproof” objective. Compared to the generic lids I have for the Reduce mug, either the opening or the vents are smaller. This means it pours more slowly and takes longer for me to get a decent “gulp” done. Not a big deal at home, but a different story when I’m doing delivery work. I’d rather finish drinking sooner than later. Similarly, due to the design on the inside, it catches my fake ice (balls of plastic with freezable liquid inside) too easily, which then blocks the flow… slowing it down even more. I had attempted to reuse the generic magnetic lid from the older mug, but it’s a press in friction type, not twist on. While I could insert the lid with minimal effort, trying to remove it was a different story. My hands are still sore from the effort. I found, ordered and received a mug that is the same size as the Reduce mug, just without the plastic band. The problem is that I’ve also been going through multiple expandable cup holders for my car to hold a 50 oz mug. The third one, which was ordered as the same time as that new mug is the shortest, allows the mug to sit the lowest and the top doesn’t wobble like the other two. But it doesn’t fit the newest mug. Holder expands to 4.8” while the mug is 5”. Seems like such a small difference, but while I can get the mug past the top of the arms, it won’t sit flat and the arms are bending quite a bit. Since they’re plastic, they’ll eventually break if I force it. So then, there’s why I have to settle for this Iron Flask mug… cause it’s the only one that fits the cup holder. Maybe if the folks that made this mug are reading this, how about a lid that fits (twist on), but uses the magnetic sliding stopper? Easier to clean, easier to use and fits.

Leaks
This cup has been fantastic. However, after 4.5 months it now leaks from the seal at the lid. And I mean it leaks A LOT! I would like to reach out to the company to see what they can do but have not found a way because I’m outside of my 30 day return window. It’s really disappointing that it lasted such a short time.

Just the right size!
I have been looking for a smaller travel mug for a while. Most are too large and if they were filled I wouldn’t be able to hang on to them. This 16oz mug is perfect and manageable. The fact it can be adapted for cold or hot is just that much better.

Love these cups.
My coffee stays hot all day long and I can almost fit the entire pot in this 40 ouncer. I also have the 30 ouncer but it’s hard to hold without the handle. Get the ones with the handle!

Absolutely love it
I purchased one of the 1.2ltr mugs in the Aurora design. I read many reviews first, and decided to try and add to my ever growing collection of travel mugs. Before officially using it, I decided to put it through a couple days of tests, first. DESIGN It looks good, is a good size, and so far I have found nothing of concern. I haven't had opportunity to check it's size in a cup holder, yet, but it appears like it should fit. Also a good size for cleaning without any issues. LEAK PROOF: CLOSED LID - I added a basic mugs worth of water in, fastened the lid, and held the mug upside down. Not a single drop. I shook it, and tipped it upside down again. Still no leaks. I then filled the mug entirely, and did the same thing to see if the volume of water made a difference. Result: still leak proof. STRAW LID - Obviously, given the design and function of a straw, when the straw is inserted it means it is not leak proof. Without inserting the straw, I tried the same tests, and while there are is some leakage, it is very very minor and a slow drip. Therefore, if the mug tips without the straw inserted, you have plenty of time to correct it before there is any significant loss of liquid. The mug also comes with two sturdy, but not entirely inflexible reusable plastic straws. SMELL/TASTE: All food/drink containers tend to smell or taste funny when brand new. I found that by doing my early days testing, that issue was non existent by the time it came to actual use. HOT DRINKS: I filled the mug with freshly boiled water, and tightened the lid. Every couple of hours I would pour a small amount into a bowl and dip my fingers to test the temperature. Doing this also meant that there was space for air to effectively cool the rest down a little quicker. That said, after a brilliant 13 hours, I still had very hot water, which satisfied my curiosity. I probably should have left it longer until the water actually cooled, but I personally wouldn't keep a hot drink for that long anyway, so it was more than enough for me. **Edit to add: I forgot about my drink one day, and it was still of a nice warm drinkable temperature after 24 hours. Absolutely thrilled. COLD DRINKS: I filled the mug with cold water, and added three good sized ice cubes, and tightened the lid. As with the hot water, I checked every couple of hours. The ice cubes melted within a couple of hours, but that wasn't a big problem for me - it made sense given the rest of the water was already of a warmer temperature. However, after 24 hours the water was still nice and cold - not necessarily ice cold, but absolutely cooler than lukewarm and still nicely refreshing. Due to disability I don't venture out too often so have yet to comment on it's ease of carry, but using it around the home is easy enough and I absolutely don't foresee any problems. Similarly, durability can't be judged as yet as it is still rather new to me. However, all in all, it is a fantastic product and great value for money. I am hoping to purchase more, in time.
