The media could not be loaded. Usually I do not write reviews - Very few items meet my expectations. This bench was certainly one that needs appreciation. I considered I have good knowledge of furniture construction, and see the construction is with joints and more important the wood quality is excellent.For the price, it's well worth it. By far better than the teak shower bench I got last summer. This stool is solid as a rock. Bench is the same size as my old bench and fits very well inside the tub.I must say, the bench is very smartly designed as legs connect with the bench seat using tenon mortise joints and additionally the shelf holds legs in place.Super sturdy, I am a big guy with a weight of 250lbs and this holds me without any hesitation.. Super Easy to assemble, super looking, super high quality. Wood is fine sanded with good teak timber. Overall an impressive piece of furniture.

I wanted to put a bench in the shower so I could do my pedicures in there, but the prospect of getting a medical chair/ stool was seriously dampening my enthusiasm. I really wanted to do this though, so I did a half-hearted search on Amazon to try and find the least medical-looking chair/ bench on the market and, after a gazillion pages, I hit on these lovely benches for shower use. YESSSSSS!!!! I had no idea these things existed and it immediately made my day! However, they do cost quite a bit more than a medical chair so I was feeling the sting. Aesthetics on one hand, cost on the other... what to do? I researched all teak shower benches on Amazon to find the best value/ quality and finally settled on this one because it seemed materially the same, yet less expensive. Sop glad it was the right decision for me! This is a nice, sturdy bench, easy to put together, and serves its purpose well. The seller is also very responsive and helpful so customer service is another big bonus. I've been using this bench in the shower for about two months now and so far no sign of rust on the screws or loosening of parts or water stains, so I'm very pleased with this product. A couple of reviewers of another similar product noted hard water stains on top of the seat where the shower stream dripped onto the seat, which made me take notice of that possibility, water pre-treatment notwithstanding. Just in case, I make sure I wipe the excess water off my bench seat and move it out from under the shower head before I leave the shower to prevent any such stains. It only takes me 5 seconds to take these precautions to preserve the beautiful finish, so it's well worth it.

I am altering my review, in light of the fact that I was able to contact "Rick," the vendor. He was extremely cooperative and eager to fix this problem; he is shipping me a replacement bench, and we also discussed at length ways I might be able to "work around" the damaged threads. Forty of these benches have been sold on Amazon, and mine was the only review--suggesting that no one else had any problems. My other comments regarding the bench still apply--all the joints fit tightly, and if I had been forced to, I'm sure waterproof glue would have been able to replace the defective screw threads. But in any case it is misleading for me to give this my previous one star, and I am happy to correct that now. For those joining the conversation late, I have left the explanatory paragraph intact, below:This appears to be sturdy, well made, and attractive. But I can't really tell because I cannot assemble it. This should be extremely simple: There are 12 bolts with Allen slot heads, to go into 12 metal-threaded holes in the legs. But several of the holes will not allow the bolts to be fully tightened--some nowhere near. I've put all the pressure on the (included) Allen wrench that I think is prudent, and it just won't budge. So tomorrow I will put it back in the box and return it. A shame; but there's no choice that I can see.

This stool is a good value for the money. It is sturdy, but has a very pleasing design. The instructions included are well written, and thus it is easy to assemble. Additionally we had occasion to speak with the owner of BayView Patio and he was most helpful and pleasant. All in all a very good experience.

This is the second similar looking bench I purchased in last six months. First was purchased from different seller but this time I want to try this seller as the bench was similar looking but offered at lot better price.This bench is exactly what I was looking for. We upgraded our second shower and was in need of teak bench. It is beautifully crafted and it gives that spa touch to the whole bathroom. It arrived well packed. Including were hardware, tool to put it together and detail assembly instructions.I was able to put it together relatively quickly without any hassle despite my skill levels. The adjustable feet were very helpful on my paved and uneven stone floor. Not sure but seems like feet are made of some sort of rubber which sticks with floor very strongly.Thin gaps between the seat slats help drain water flow easily, that was really nice, otherwise standing water leaves spot on the wood.Over all the bench is heavy built and well crafted, and strongly recommend to family and friends.

It’s just perfect the color, teal wood, the weight, size and of course the function. The ability to look this cute and use in the shower can’t be denied. It’s a winner people!
