I had made pizza dough with the OED flat dough hook (coated aluminum) - it bent. So I ordered this Stainless steel spiral version. It fit my KitchenAid Artisan, lift-top mixer perfectly. I just used this to make bread for the first time. It kneads your dough surprisingly well. It cleans up quickly and easily, either in the dishwasher or by hand. In either case, I recommend you rinse off the remaining bits of dough immediately after you have finished so it doesn’t harden. I like the disk guard at the top that prevents the dough from creeping up into the mixer itself. And being solid stainless, I expect it to outlast the mixer.

Fits a little snug in bowl but works and so much better than the coated one

Like other buyers, I was concerned when my white ceramic coated paddle started chipping. This one fits perfectly and was half the price of a Kitchen-Aide brand replacement. Be sure you flip over your mixer and match the model number to the replacement: These aren’t one size fits all.

So much better than the original, the white paint was coming off in the food, and still they are making it. This is way better, just hand wash it.

My old Kitchenaid beater was the white style, but recently I noticed it had been chipping off, showing the metal underneath. This was alarming, wondering whose stomach the chips ended up in. So I ordered this stainless steel one and it works beautifully and I will no longer be concerned with chips falling in my baked goods!

The media could not be loaded. After realizing one day that some of the paint chipping off my original paddle was probably falling into my cake batter, I decided to look for a replacement. This one goes on easily and fits my bowl seemingly perfectly. No complaints!
