This took my husband less than 10 minutes to install. The attached adapter works great. The water seems to taste better and there is much less calcium build-up in my portable water boiler. One thing is note, the water flow is more like sprays, not streams (what we used to have). But, after a few day's of use, we actually like the sprays better.

I was tired of lugging water jugs from the supermarket to the house and paying a $1.00 a gallon so I decided to try one of these. I chose the Waterdrop over others for the following reasons: 1. Uses activated carbon made from coconuts. This type is more porous so it has more surface area to remove contaminants and allows for better water flow. Primarily for chlorine. 2. Filters last for 3 months or approximately 320 gallons. 3. Micron filter for biologics, sand, iron, sulfur, etc. 4. Price Took about 15 minutes to install. Tips: Make sure you choose the right adaptor and washer. The washer should be tight against the sides of the adaptor and seat it fully in the bottom of the adaptor. Use the provided Teflon tape. 3 wraps counter clockwise should suffice. Threads are fine and can be stripped if cross threaded. This will cause a leak and is not correctable. Hand tighten the adaptor. Use the provided tool to for an extra 1/8 to 1/4 turn. The rest is simple. Taste: Drank a glass of water unfiltered, filtered, and store bought. Filtered tasted great. No chlorine smell and fresh tasting. Actually better than store bought. TDS is a poor measure for drinking water. Good tasting water needs to be free of chlorine, iron, sulfur, lead, and biologics ( bacteria). If water doesn't have some salts, minerals, etc. in it the taste is bad. For example, distilled water has a TDS of 0. Not only does distilled water taste flat, it is also not recommended for normal consumption.

Good product with badly "constructed" component. I love the filter quality and ease of installing. However, the water seal is VERY VERY VERY DIFFICULT ACHIEVE. I purchased this in May and one-or-more of the following happened over the past 2 months: 1) water began to increasingly leak at the faucet's connection point; 2) filter fell off the faucet when water began to leak a lot; 3) had to repeatedly remove the plastic coupling and add layers of latex tape to stop the leak and try to create another seal; 4) many times the water still came through, and I had to repeat #1-3 again and again--sometimes several times daily. This went on for about 6 weeks. I am keeping my fingers crossed because the last "seal" has lasted almost 2 weeks. This company was accommodating in that they sent some replacement parts--I expect that the threading from the PLASTIC component will wear off in time. I wish I could buy this connector in metal--the little detail that could cure this headache.

it worked well, definitely filtered our water. We had a hard time with our skin when we moved, but this helped a lot. I will say it didn’t last a super long time probably a month or two but it’s great price for it.

This is a good product but people tend to misunderstand certain aspects. It is quite easy to over tighten the product and at that point it will come lose. I believe it was designed this way to protect the threads from being ruined forever. In the way it is designed, if you do tighten it to much and the filter parts comes loose, then apply more of the threading tape that comes with the unit. There is small amount of tape that should be applied tightly to one side of the threads before screwing tight. If it slips off because it is too tight, then add several more layers of that tape until it holds firmly without coming loose. The filter side comes off and on very easily with a twist. I am not sure if it was designed to do this but when something hits against the filter from the sink, I just twist it off until I'm done, then twist it back on. You twist it backwards from the way it was installed. Be careful that you do not put the sink on full strength if you have very good water pressure. You can balance the water strength of the flow to match how fast the filter works. The filter can be installed on the left of the right and with the logo forward or backwards, by how you install it. How and where it ends up with the first install does not mean that is the only way. If how it is placed or looks doesn't suit your hopes, just back up the installation steps and redo in a way that allows you to do what you want. Do not expect to always use every item in the kits. For me, I had a great deal of items left over that my particular installation did not require. Don't make all the pieces make you think it is harder than it is. I put off my installation for a couple day because when I first looked I was not sure how all the items fit together and the instructions were unclear about them. It turns out, I never had to use those item. I think if you have a problem with your logical common sense installation then there may very well be something to fix in the box. If your common sense installation can't make sense of some part, it may not be needed. See if your installation goes well before you worry about those pieces. This is not the type of product that if you have a part left over, it means you missed something. If you do need more of the tape for the threads it can be easily bought at any hardware type location or department.
