Excellent Foil Electric Shaver but Expensive
A number of reviews of electric shavers consider this the best on the market. It gives me a very close smooth shave with no pulling. I bought it on a pre Prime Day sale and saved about $130. The shaver has 5 foil blades and a head that can move to many vertical positions. Once you fibd your sweet spot it can be locked in place and will only move slightly to follow the contours of your face. This item comes with a 6 in 1 unit that will charge, clean, and condition the razor. A liquid cleaner, etc. cartridge fits into that unit. This item comes with one. that Braun says can last 2 to 3 months - I'm not there yet so I can't tell. The charging cord will work with the razor directly as well as the two items mentioned belowThis item also came with a travel charging case, It is solid and can charged to give you about an hours worth of recharge. It is large,My only complaint is with the long hair trimmer that most electric razors have built into them. It is not fully inside when not in use and the edges of the blade stick out slightly. It will not hurt you but can be a bit annoying. It would seem to me to be a wonky design decision.

Expensive but does a great job.
Well worth the investment: it's on the expensive side but it does a great job and makes shaving much less of a chore. Also, the battery lasts quite a while without the need to recharge. The cleaning system is a nice luxury.

2nd failure of an expensive Series 9 shaver (2 separate purchases) EDITED REVIEW
Great shaver! That said, I now have two of these where the power button has just popped off. No abuse, great care given to my shavers, but it seems that this is a feature of these shavers. I'd avoid the Series 9 5790 and 5791 models like th plague. The first one lasted a bit, but the 2nd one popped off in less than 7 months. And they are HORRIBLE at service. It's a website runaround, as Braun doesn't seem to be inclined to deal with warranty issues in an easy and friendly fashion.AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT, I called their service 800 number. Their service website responses had been inane and unhelpful. On the phone they were an entirely different animal! They not only emailed me a shipping label for the unit under warranty, but also for the older, out of warranty model. KUDO'S to their phone support people. I had originally given a two star review due to the warranty difficulties.

Very Smooth Shave
I had used Braun for over 50 years. But the last two broke down very easily after a few years. So, because of that and the high cost of replacement, I opted for a Panasonic Arc 3 about 3 years ago.The shave was very good, but even with replacement head and cutters,3 years on, I was no longer impressed. So, last month I ordered an Arc 5 model. I tried it and it left me with sore skin and did not give me a comfortable or close shave. And it took too many passes to remove my stubble. And it didn't really do that very well. Numerous hairs were left untouched. Thus it was the subject of a return.Yesterday my new Braun arrived.Absolute chalk and cheese to the Arc 5. First shave this morning and, not only did it take less passes, but extremely comfortable and close shave.I really recommend this shaver to anyone who may have skin that cannot take the harshness of some shaver brands.More expensive than I wanted to shell out. But, absolutely the right choice.Only negative point, is that it did not come with a foil head protective cover. I also think the charging stand is to unsubstantiated to hold the shaver. It has a very narrow base, that could cause the shaver to topple over. That in turn could damage the foil head. So, I will charge it directly to a power outlet with the cable.
