My wife and I both love fruitcake. My wife and I both do not eat sugar because of the negative affects sugar has on health. We are always looking for sugar free options for treats and snacks and a good share of the time we are disappointed because those items cost a lot of money and some of them are absolutely awful tasting and have a dry chalky consistency. We have had a couple of different sugar free fruitcakes and they were okay. We decided to try this brand for a change and see how it was and I can say although it is a little pricey it is well worth it. The fruit is dry but not hard and you would not know it was sugar free. I highly recommend this. The downside is that we ate it too quickly and now it is gone.

I know most people really dislike fruitcake, but I am addicted to it. I have been since I was a kid, but now that I’m supposed to be an adult and curb my sugar intake, I had to cut back on my fruitcake. Until I found this one. Now I’m pretty sure it still has quite a bit of sugar in the candied fruits, but no additional sugar makes it all the more tempting. You really can’t tell from the taste that there is no added sugar. It is gooey, sweet and crunchy all at the same time! It is a little pricey, but if you cut it up into small pieces and have one piece a day, it will satisfy even the most ardent fruitcake lover!

I am so disappointed! I thought it would be a more traditional taste & texture, with traditional spices. It's so bland. I only wish I could get my money back or a credit on my account! There's no reason it should taste any different than any other cake with the new sugar substitute's out there. I always bake sugar free. DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS CAKE. You'll be disappointed!

Fruitcake is one of the most maligned deserts out there. How many people say “Oh look, it’s another fruit cake from Aunt Edna.”I guess I’m different as I’d love good old Auntie to send me a fruitcake, BUT, no sugar for me! I’m one of the many people who can’t eat sugary treats. It’s like giving a vampire garlic! No, no, no!I searched and found this product.So allow me to give you the pros and cons:Pro:Decent tasteSugar freeCons:Much smaller than what you’d expect.About the size of a Hershey BarDoesn’t impart the great taste of sugary fruit in the cake. (Yes, it is sugar free after all)Expensive for what you are purchasingDoes not have that real fruitcake tasteSo there you have it. The good and the bad. I suppose if you have a real craving for sugar free fruitcake, this will be somewhat of a substitute, however read my pros and cons again.

I have always LOVED Grandmas fruitcake (last 40-45 years anyway) & in the past year decided to get carbs out of my life.Well, I decided to try this sugar free version of my absolute favorite Christmas dessert & boy it did not disappoint!!!!This fruitcakes is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS...just like the original❤️Then I read the label & it states that it uses maltitol to sweeten it (sugar alcohols)...now, mind you, maltitol does not upset my stomach or make me go to the bathroom or any of those nasty side effects you read from other people...BUT, maltitol is one of the WORST sweeteners for a low carb lifestyle because it is high on the glycemic table (it’s almost as bad as sugar). Anytime I see any “goodies” that sweeten with maltitol, I do not eat/drink.So, if maltitol is not a problem in your every day diet...go for it...THIS IS AN EXCELLENT (a little too pricey) PRODUCT!!!!

This was the closest that you get to homemade fruit cake that does not taste sugar-free in fact the problem with this is you want to keep eating it. It had great texture and gradient the fruit and everything in it is wonderful.The only problem with me is I could not leave it alone. It does crumble, but that’s probably because I kept add it all the time I would say this is one of the best sugar-free item I have had in years and I have been diabetic for years and years, I would buy this and try it does not have citron in it. It has cherries and nuts etc.

My friends and I have been search for the real thing for two years buying 'fruit cake' from various bakeries. To be real it has to have liquor as its liquid ingredient. None of the others had it and it makes a big difference. For folks who mock and disparage fruitcake , I can assure you this is moist, delicious, filled with pecans, walnuts, big juicy cherries and several kinds of raisins. You can smell the liquor before opening the box. The first friend who discovered this brand told us all and we have bought, and bought...In fact, I'm stuffing my face with a big slice right now. Christmas may be over but who cares? AND...best of all, no citron chunks to chew.
